1. It does look like a few of your lines are a little wobbly, around the teeth too, you may want to try to remove some of the excess with tooth picks, they work really well. Perhaps a little grey over some of the inside black lines too.

Before adjusting ears to fit I would use magnets or even nuts and bolts to hold the side pieces together as they can change how they sit.

Thanks. I’ll try the toothpicks to straighten out the lines. And had already planned to get those sides tighter and secured before going much further on the ears.

2. Haven’t posted in a while. Been fiddling with body pieces and attaching cover strips. Will post pics soon.

In the meantime, I decided to start on the bucket. Working on the ears now, but wanted an opinion on this paint job I did. ee92b12c57db02414783c7962a26dc4c.jpgf439a7a3533d23c66b3120a6eacab8e1.jpg79e9735c0304b39e2b5627b4af7082ae.jpgff640f62cafeadb82616faf265974313.jpgwondering if I should remove it all and start over, or just buy decals?

3. Nice.

Just watch out your left side shin sitting a tiny bit lower than the right. Nothing a bit of foam padding can't solve.

Did the cat approves?

I assumed the left was shorter so that there was room for the sniper plate to be attached. Should I shorted the right to match? And yes, the cat, Bruce, approves. And he likes to help me as well.

4. Been fiddling with thighs and shins together, to make sure everything is proportional to each other and that the cover strips will line up. Aside from the crooked rear right shin seam, which I think I can hide with cover strip, I think it’s lining up nicely. Would love some opinions before I glue it all together.8dc638751abb6dbf340b959df5f4274b.jpg57f6e2fffe7b3704336e75dd5ac55b42.jpg

I’m fairly happy with the left leg, but can’t seem to get the right one to fit correctly. It tries to twist to the right (maybe the big ganglion cyst on my knee is pushing it out). Also I think I need to shorten them a bit, the are hitting my kneecaps. Any suggestions?

6. the shape is not too bad. How flexible is the back of those shins? It might close well enough as soon as the elastics and hooks are glued in.
If so, you don't need a hot water bath.

As TheSwede mentioned, I'm your man if you wanna move that thread

I still have to trim off the overlap to fit my skinny legs, then I’ll worry about the shape.

As far as moving the thread, I wonder if more people would see it on the main thread than here? What are your thoughts?

7. So after reading many other build threads, mainly ukswrath and cricket, I finally got to work.  You’ve already seen the forearms, but I also attached front inside cover strips on biceps and shins

I think it’s time for a hot water bath to help shape these, and on to the thighs

8. I use tapatalk for posting pictures - works pretty well.  I do everything else on the desktop because I am old school and have trouble working my phone.

The tapatalk app seems to be working on my iPad, i was just able to post another picture. Now to figure out how to post it while it’s not a response, or “quote”

This forum is designed for and works at is best when using a computer but it’s available on all plattforms but with limitations, although how you post is not, many use tapatalk which to my understanding lets you upload straight from your phone or iPad given you installed the app.

Imgur is used either by browser or as an app.

If you want to move anything then  @Ripper_L is your man:salute:

I’ll try Tapatalk before resorting to the desktop.  And I think I will stay on this forum, I see there is a sub forum for build threads.  Thanks

This is fantastic!! I feel like I have a whole squad behind me to help with this:D

Yes, definitely going for Centurion for several reasons, but mostly because I am a compulsive perfectionist. (I have an Imperial Officer uniform that I've been sitting on for over two years because it just wasn't right and needed tweaking, and while it's still not done, I finally managed to force myself to submit for approval)

I'll be taking my time and triple checking everything with you guys before doing anything rash. As I think most newbs are, I am slightly terrified of cutting/breaking/trimming anything to the point of ruining it - I can always get replacement parts from RS if I need to (I'd rather not though) - so I'll be VERY careful.

Next stop will be pouring over ukswraith's and Wooks' threads, thanks again everyone!

I am just starting my build and am going for centurion as well.  Let’s do this!

11. I have not used Imgur.  Can I use it from my iPad?  I really don’t want to fool with using the desktop.  Easier it seems to take pic from iPad or phone right onto thread.  Did I mention I’m computer illiterate?   Also thinking of moving this thread to main build forum, and use this for ESB specific questions.
