  1. After reading that decals are required for higher level approvals, I got rid of the paint on the traps and tears and ordered decals. In the meantime, started working on the ears. Not there yet, but getting closer. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks. I’ll try the toothpicks to straighten out the lines. And had already planned to get those sides tighter and secured before going much further on the ears. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Haven’t posted in a while. Been fiddling with body pieces and attaching cover strips. Will post pics soon. In the meantime, I decided to start on the bucket. Working on the ears now, but wanted an opinion on this paint job I did. wondering if I should remove it all and start over, or just buy decals? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. I assumed the left was shorter so that there was room for the sniper plate to be attached. Should I shorted the right to match? And yes, the cat, Bruce, approves. And he likes to help me as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Been fiddling with thighs and shins together, to make sure everything is proportional to each other and that the cover strips will line up. Aside from the crooked rear right shin seam, which I think I can hide with cover strip, I think it’s lining up nicely. Would love some opinions before I glue it all together. 6. I think maybe I had them on the wrong legs. This looks much better, except that back seam on right leg is crooked. Maybe I can hide it with the cover strip. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I’m fairly happy with the left leg, but can’t seem to get the right one to fit correctly. It tries to twist to the right (maybe the big ganglion cyst on my knee is pushing it out). Also I think I need to shorten them a bit, the are hitting my kneecaps. Any suggestions? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Sorry, about 2mm thick Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. For the arms, 16mm. 20mm for thighs and front of shins. 25mm for back of shins Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I still have to trim off the overlap to fit my skinny legs, then I’ll worry about the shape. As far as moving the thread, I wonder if more people would see it on the main thread than here? What are your thoughts? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. I think it’s time for a hot water bath to help shape these, and on to the thighs Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. So after reading many other build threads, mainly ukswrath and cricket, I finally got to work. You’ve already seen the forearms, but I also attached front inside cover strips on biceps and shins
  13. The tapatalk app seems to be working on my iPad, i was just able to post another picture. Now to figure out how to post it while it’s not a response, or “quote” Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Forearms with front inside strips glued on. Still need to size them down to fit, I got really tiny arms, but I want to leave a little wiggle room in case I gain weight, or get ripped at the gym :-) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I’ll try Tapatalk before resorting to the desktop. And I think I will stay on this forum, I see there is a sub forum for build threads. Thanks
  16. I am just starting my build and am going for centurion as well. Let’s do this!
  17. I have not used Imgur. Can I use it from my iPad? I really don’t want to fool with using the desktop. Easier it seems to take pic from iPad or phone right onto thread. Did I mention I’m computer illiterate? Also thinking of moving this thread to main build forum, and use this for ESB specific questions.
  18. Darn computer won't let me add any pictures, says they are too big. Yet it let me do it yesterday. I hate computers ;-l
  19. So far, I have attached inner cover strips the the front sides only of biceps, forearms, and shins.
  20. First time armor builder here. I received my BBB from Walt back in September, and have finally got the nerve to begin after reading many other threads. I’m 5’5”, 125 lbs, so I will doing a lot of trimming. Here are a few pics of what I have done so far. Any input will be much appreciated.
