  1. Hey guys, I`m requesting access too: TK - 12811 https://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=28123 Thank you!
  2. Oh wow I just saw it, it worked!!! Yesterday I sent my membership application for 501st and today (!) came the e-mail with the confirmation: I am officially admitted! My costume was taken off and I am now a member of German Garrison !!! I am very happy and thank you all for the great support, the help, the encouragement - without you I would not have made it! I especially thank Christoph for his direct support here in Germany and also special thanks to Paul (troopermaster), you`ve just made it possible with your great armour kit and all your great help here!!! Also thank you Joseph and lucnak for all your advice and your help through my building process! Thanks to all who encouraged and helped me! You can`t imagine what this means to me. Not too long ago I would not have thought that any of my wishes would come true at all or that I am still here. When I think about it, it fills me with pain and I`m so glad that this time is over and I hope that it never will come back. Maybe it sounds crazy, but all this, the trooper and the membership here, are good signs for me for a new beginning. I'm really looking forward to my first troop Thank you guys from all my heart!
  3. Yes, the ab buttons are scratched although I let them dry for 24 hours and used humbrol enamel, which are recommended. But the chest plate scratched it... I have not corrected it, because it looks like fight markers
  4. Okay, so here is a new try with the pictures. Hope it works this time!
  5. Yes, you're right! I have already noticed during longer walking, that it often hooks on the left knee and have shortened the shins
  6. And today: Birthday of my Trooper! Here are the very first pictures of it, I'm so curious what you say and I'm glad about your criticism. So much cutting, glueing, crying, bleeding and redoing, I can not believe that it is actually finished now!!! At least it's done so far that I can now put all the pieces together and show you how it looks (the background of the pictures is not optimal, it`s just to give you an impression of my work). It`s not perfect but I made it
  7. And yesterday I made my holster with the last leather I had here...
  8. So I had to hurry up a little bit because the next movie is coming soon! So I did my painting:
  9. You are great, thank you! I will order and try it!
  10. Hey guys, thanks to your tips, it worked well with the ABS paste and filling! I have taped the holes, so that I had to sand down only a bit. Unfortunately, after sanding, the ABS does no longer shine. Can I made it shine again?
  11. Thank you guys for these encouraging words!!! You're right, mistakes happen, itĀ“s frustrating but it`s not the end of the world and I have experienced worse things. I try the ABS paste today! I managed to get the holes in, then I will manage to get them back
  12. Thanks for your help, I managed to successfully install the split rivets! It was really helpful to use a very hard ground. I was so happy that it worked, but unfortunately I made a really stupid mistake. I drilled the holes for the split rivets on both sides and not just on the left. That`s soooo stupid, I know, but it happened. So what should I do best now?
  13. "I double my efforts", Lord Vader wants the construction to be completed! And yes, there are pink spring clamps in the hardware store! So last weekend I glued a lot with E6000, attached elastic bands, shoulder straps on it, cut edges and drilled holes in my armor (don`t ask how, my husband has already rolled his eyes when he saw me using his tools ...) Only the split rivets annoy me for days, I bend, I hammered but they won`t get flat!
  14. Finally arms and legs are done and my silicone hand guards (thanks Joseph!!!) are glued. I`m just waiting for my split rivets, so that I can continue with the body parts
  15. After some parts I learned that glueing is not as easy as I thought in the beginning. The parts are moving during glueing and some times it`s really tricky to fix them in a good position! But with the help of tape and magnets I glued biceps, forearms and shins (front parts) last weekend: I`m looking forward to try on the first parts of my trooper
  16. Finally all trimming is done and I started glueing the first coverstrips yesterday evening. I started with arm parts and found out, that glueing is better for me than trimming and you finally can see: it`s going on, that helps! And: gloves and hand guards are ordered!
  17. Update! I started trimming the small parts and it`s getting better with every part! Although I have the feeling, that there are still so many parts left untrimmed but you can see that I did a lot of trimming this weekend... Maybe next time I`m going to build a Rogue One Trooper, so I don`t have to wipe away blood splatters from my armour But as my husband always says: where wood is chopped, splinters must fall
  18. Today is BBB day!!! So many parts, oh my g**, I`m not sure, if I really can build this stormtrooper! I`m glad, that the helmet is ready... It`s a pitty that you can`t see my big smile under the helmet
  19. For everybody, who wants to do it, here`s my instruction: I chose black cotton, which is smooth, light and beautiful. From this I cut the pattern (neck part + shoulder part). The basis of the fabric lining is a 15mm organic cotton fleece (you could also chose another fleece). I split it horizontally and spread it over the two halves of the neck parts (so that each side of the fabric is covered with a layer of 7 mm cotton fleece). You can see it on the picture above. To get a good shape I have incorporated a 4 mm rope. After joining the neck and shoulder parts, sew a velcro fastener on the back and it`s done! To get really close to the rope while sewing you can chose a special machine foot for zipper. It`s very small and allows to sew very close to the rope. And I have a really special sewing machine, so for me there is no limit how close I can sew to the rope, if I wanted I could sew through the rope too But I`m not sure, if this works with every sewing machine... Greetings Stefanie
  20. Oh it`s so easy, I guess everybody can do it But I`m going to think about that when my Trooper is ready
  21. Today I had time to create my neckseal! After trying some techniques I`ve found the best way to get a really nice shape. I`ve put a fabric lining of cotton fleece in it, which gives softness and volume . To get a good looking shape I used a 4mm rope. Here you can see my result:
  22. Hey guys, until I`m waiting for BBB day I`m starting with building the rest of the accessories and want to share some pictures with you. If you have any ideas to improve something, please let me know, because this is my first Trooper and I never did anything similar before Today I painted my shoes: I was not so happy with the surface after painting it but with the help of nail polish remover I could get a really nice finish with no damages! Now I just need to clean them a little bit and paint the rubber parts
