  1. Yeah I was kind of surprised when I opened it earlier today. Was expecting what others had gotten in the first version from posts or unboxings I saw. But at first glance it seems like the helmet and the belt are the only 2 major differences I've noticed. Will have to look over it in more detail when I get into the build.
  2. The belt is unassembled - sorry, forgot you had asked about that.
  3. Here's the inside of the new anovos helmet. Trying to get the right placement with the included padding, might not need to use the chin strap after all.
  4. Hey all, just sending an update that I finally got my armor in the mail after some trouble with ups. Has anyone else noticed that the helmet has been updated? There's Velcro on the top and sides to put foam that's included to fill up space in the helmet (works quite nicely). The lens is fixed to the helmet with strong adhesive on soft foam, the only bad part is I can't really attach the chin strap I have without removing it. And they also have the mesh glued with a thin black fabric around the edges which is a nice touch. From what I read of earlier versions of anovos armor, it seems like a major upgrade to the helmet at least. I'll try to send pictures at some point but it says my photo files are too big on the phone so I'll have to figure that out then.
  5. Grats - now you can add building armor to that list. Good luck with the build, and glad to hear we're finally getting our orders fulfilled.
  6. Good luck, hope you get yours soon as well. I think they're trying for Fall/Winter with their current orders, so I would imagine they ship them as they receive them from their production company. I'm pretty sure they go by month and fulfill them from the earliest orders, I remember an email from them back in September saying they've fulfilled up to October 2016 orders at that point, and I had ordered mine in November 2016. Also did the payment plan but as long as it's paid in full I don't think that makes a difference on the estimated ship date. My order says the date I ordered, not the date I paid it off. And they recently changed the armor kit from "interest list" to "reserve now," might be a sign that they're finishing their current orders and getting another batch ready.
  7. Thanks, tell me about it. At first I thought it was another "sorry, you have to wait even longer for your armor" email. Thankfully it wasn't. Of course, it does come with a bill for the shipping.
  8. Hey all, just got an update from Anovos and after a year and some change, the armor is on the way. Originally supposed to have been here in Q1 and after a few date changes, they actually pulled through on their Q3 release. Has anyone else got a confirmation who is still waiting on the kit?
  9. I agree that they take more orders than they can fulfill, but what makes it worse is that they tell you it will be ready before it realistically will be able to. If they were more up front about wait times, then I would be more forgiving. And it seems like every time I check their site, they have a new licensed product that's in stock and ready to ship, and it feels like they take on way more than they can keep up with. Despite all this, I'm going to hold out for fall, but if they push it back again I'll probably do the same and look elsewhere for my first set of armor. Seems like they have a good product, but they must not have great communication with their production company for this to keep happening. Will keep you posted if Anovos steps up their game.
  10. I got the same email earlier today, was hoping it was a shipping notification since I just recently ordered all the soft parts and got all the tools/equipment in preparation for a summer ship date. Having also ordered the kit last Fall, I think this is the 3rd time they've changed ship dates. But I do feel hopeful that Fall 2017 will be the actual ship date, since they mentioned that they expected the kits to arrive at their fulfillment center in late summer/early fall. We shall see.
