Got the last of the major trimming finished and did a quick rough fitting.
Looks like everything will fit pretty well hopefully.

Got a lot of the rough trimming done today. Used the same method I did with my TK and just pencil marked along the armor to find the bends where you know the extra material is and cut along that. Easy way for me to make sure I'm keeping enough to work with.

Carved out the eyes and teeth more, also got the brow pretty close to where I want it.

Awesome that helps a lot!I had a crack there too.
. In that area the plastic is very "thin" .

Already questioning myself. I should cut the eyes back to the mould lines correct?
And I can't decide if the teeth holes good or if I should make them a bit bigger?

Starting my wife's FemTk build finally after over a year after it arrived.
Gonna hopefully have it done In a few weeks since I got little else to do with my free time.
Wish us luck and I'll do my best to keep the thread updated with our progress.

I have a Crack in my helmet near the vocoder. It's not too bad yet but obviously I need to fix it before my next troop.
I was going to use some abs paste and just spread some on the outside and a lot on the inside.
Does anyone have any insight into if that is a good fix method or another way that will work better?

Still not 100% done. But I couldn’t resist the opportunity to don the suit for trunk or treat.
Was an experience trying to get ready all the armor on, luckily my wife was able to help with some of the hard to reach parts.
Definitely learned how hard it is to see! Couldn’t tell at almost any time where my daughter was. Stepped on her once or twice.
Overall it was a fun learning experience. Pretty sure I had the thighs too high and they clipped the butt while walking. Also a good chance I clonked a kid with my weapon, honestly don’t know cause I couldn’t tell what or who bumped into me.
My daughter of course had to wear her trooper suit as well. Unfortunately no helmet but she wasn’t in the mood for it.
I had to switch the weapon around for the picture, I again couldn’t see where my daughter was and I was unintentionally pointing it right at her.

Yeah the back plate is has given me no small amount of issues.
I haven’t put the white elastic on the shoulder straps so that should fix that issue.

So I’m basically done with the armor. I’m just waiting for the available funds to buy a neck seal and holster.
Other small things to finish.
1. Need to glue my silicone hand guards to my gloves.
2. Add the elastic to hold the shoulder straps.
3. Add Velcro to the boots and shins to keep them in place while moving around.
if you see anything I should fix or adjust please let me know.
cant decide if this gap in the back will be a problem for approval or not?
overall happy with how the sides have turned out.
and I also need to paint the snaps. 
pretty sure the ab buttons are in the right place.
and I did get my E-11, it’s from RSpropmaster. Bought off another 501st member.

Without saying anything official one way or the other.
It does look like this would need at least a little adjustment to meet 501st standards. But for basic approval it looks pretty close. Not sure how much it would take to get to higher levels if that was your goal.
I would hit up the 501st clone trooper forum for a better opinion.

I went with Angelus acrylic leather paint. Took about 10 coats since I didn’t have a sprayer.
But end result was satisfactory.

I did the whole strip and paint thing myself. Worked pretty well. But be aware of how large the opening for your foot is.
Mine was a larger size and I had to shim my shins out to make it work.

Crack in helmet!

Went with some gorilla super glue and a piece of burlap(ish) material I had left over from my build. The inside looks worse in the picture than in person. But it's in a basic invisible spot so I'm not worried about appearance. Plus the rubber seal will cover about 80% of the crack.
Either way is does appear to be a strong bond and is holding so far.
