Thanks for taking a look. Second pic is as far as I can bend my leg at it's current length. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Working on the shins...extremely slow progress I'm 5/7, so a little short for a trooper. I taped up the right shin pieces and tried it on. At it's current length I can get about 35 degrees of knee bend before the armor restricts my motion. I believe I read somewhere that the bottoms of the shin do not require (or need to not have) a return. Can someone confirm this, I haven't been able to find any information on it again. Also, when cutting them back, best to cut a 1/4 inch or so and then try on, repeat if needed? Or is there a better way to cut once? thanks!

As indicated, I was able to separate the pieces fairly easily, nice that e6000 is so forgiving. Will clean up and try again.

Esh, too late to get the corners back...but thanks the same

Thats my question, how to remove? Just pry them apart? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Don't have the elastic yet, but tied them down... Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Well, I figured this was just a matter of time before it happened, and that day has come. I glued the shoulder straps onto the chest and when I picked up the torso parts after the glue dried I noticed that the elastic straps that connect the chest and back are showing a bit. I didn't occur to me when gluing the cover straps that they should hide the elastic. I have been using E6000 with the understanding that it was the more forgiving option when putting the armor together. So now my question is, what is the best way to soften up the glue to separate the parts? My initial thought was a hot water bath, but I am not sure if the elastic straps would be adversely affected by the hot water (and they are glued on as well). Next option would be a heat gun, but I am terrified of trying that and warping the armor. Is there a better option available?

getting ready to paint the ab buttons. Is this still the latest color reference? http://imageshack.com/a/img922/2332/MJ7jOn.jpg

Got a question on the shoulder straps. How far down do they go from the top edge of the chest plate? Or is it just a matter of making it even on the front and back?

I was just about to do as suggested and thought to measure one more time to see how close the new hole would be. was surprised to see that the original hole might actually fit. put the snap on the hole and it actually fit. a pleasant surprise.

My concern is that it will be real close or overlapping the current hole. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Just ran into a snag. I was burning holes into the canvas belt. put the first snap on that connects it to the abs, and then realised that the second hole is just slightly off so there is no way the other snap would reach. is there a good way to patch the hole so I could burn another hole next to it? I got the belt from Imperial Issue (Rob Kittell).

Looking to start the legs. Shins have R/L markings on them, but the thighs do not. Took my best guess lining them up (right leg on the left and vise versa). Are they in the right order? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

]Working on the forearms and wondering about trimming up one half of them. The length of the halves are off a bit. Do I just trim the end down to get them even. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Makes sense, thanks Sent from my SM-P905V using Tapatalk

I'll take another look, I still have a return edge on the elbow side. For the biceps, I'm at 30mm, I don't belive I can go smaller. So 15mm stripes would be okay there also? Sent from my SM-P905V using Tapatalk

Not at all. That pic was pre-trim. Below is a post-trim pic.

So go with the traditional size strips, or fitted to the same size my return edges are? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Trimmed up the forearms and biceps. The "return edge" of the bicep is 30mm and the forearms are 20mm. The sheets that came with the armor has "arms - 15mm" written on it. Do I make the strips 15mm or make them the same length as I have for the return edges? --Hope that makes sense... Sent from my SM-P905V using Tapatalk

On to the arms... I am 5'7" so after trimming the arms, they feel a little long. I am worried about limiting my movements more than necessary. Any advice on far to cut them down, or leaving them as is. Also looking for advice on trimming the sides. How lose should they be? Looks like they dont connect to any other part, so I am guessing just make it comfortable. Then the strips should be the exact same width as the flat part of the sides?

Here's a correct orientation pic...

Oops, I just put it on for sizing reference, didn't pay attention to the orientation. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
