  1. In retrospect that seems obvious....does any 501st costume allow for the shiny round TD? Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  2. Why no LEDs? Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  3. I can see where he is coming from it does appear that i was copied, but it isn't the same object either. Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  4. That would be pretty cool. It would just be a basic electronic circuit and some LED lights. Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  5. Are you talking about the round metal one? Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  6. The idea behind the plain buttons is when a rebel shoots you and takes your TD he cant activate it cuz he has no idea which buttons o push Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  7. According to wookiepedia the buttons were a code and activated a timer so they were more C4 than hand grenade but they were definitely explosive. Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  8. Yea pre-501st (like a week ago) i thought the piece was a Bacta tank because it looked so similar to the bacta canisters you picked up on battlefront 2 (best game ever) Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  9. The difference i believe between the sphere TD and the TK TD is according to the aforementioned link the code control. So the Baradium-core is like real C4 but if it was LOX (liquid oxygen) filled as opposed to baradium it could theoretically serve BOTH purposes. But this is all hypothetical because SW Rebels is now canon. Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  10. Ahh makes sense and no not really. Thanks for your help though. The FISD members are super awesome. Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  11. Ahh the heart of the matter misinformation! And at the risk of completely derailing this thread, are you familiar with the troopers CAN aim, but miss on purpose theory? Well the reason that is improbable is the quote from the tk "set for stun". Whats the point of missing if you can stun them. Thanks for the info on the related topic btw Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  12. @TK if you read the link bondservnt supplied you would see that TD had a baradium core so no O2. And what is with the pick servnt ? Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  13. Wow super cool! I read that link ,bondservnt, and that clears up everything except where the O2 tank idea came from. Any explanation? Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  14. I was aware of the differences in the types of thermal dets/o2 canister 'but i have not come across a thread that explains why we call both the same name. Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  15. Correct me if I am wrong ,but is not THIS a Thermal Detonator? Why then do y'all people call THIS a Thermal Detonator? I do believe that i read somewhere on the CLR that this was an oxygen canister ,and I believe it was referring to the theoretical function of this device as opposed to the prop construction. I am sure that such a group of the Elitest of the Elite Star Wars fans couldn't ALL have overlooked this ,but i have not seen anything anywhere that clears this up. As a major Star Wars "Nut" myself I am actually pretty surprised at this. *not sure what is going on with the attachments any advice on that is welcome as well Thermal DetArmor.htm
  16. If i may ask another question from the depths of ignorance what is a return edge? I'm sure it is super obvious but i discovered the 501st like a week ago.
  17. I have been studying the CLR for the TKC and at the E-11 standards for ESB blaster it has no requirements for centurion. Does this mean if i buy a Hasbro conversion kit and convert it to the proper ESB style i can achieve centurion ,or is there a mistake in the CLR? E-11 Blaster (ESB) For 501st approval: Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster. For level two certification (if applicable): Folding stock is placed in the closed position. No ammo counter shall be present. D-ring mounted on the rear. Sterling based blasters have the correct M-38 or M-19 style scope. The M-19 scope is preferred. No power cylinders on the magazine housing. Scratch-built, resin cast, Hyperfirm rubber cast blasters shall have a total of 6 T-tracks on blaster (leaving the lowest row on the magazine housing side uncovered). If using the Hasbro E11 toy blaster, it is modified to have the correct number of T-tracks (6 total), with a lower row of open vent holes on the magazine housing side. This is accomplished by covering the pre-existing rows of holes with T-tracks, then grinding off the lower integrated T-track on the magazine housing side, and drilling a new row of holes in its place. For level three certification (if applicable):

How do y'all (I'm from Ar lol) identify what is wrong or right with armor? People say certain stuff looks wrong, but to me most stuff looks fine. Is it just sheer amount of time spent staring at shoulder pads and stuff? Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  23. Daaang that is beautiful armor. If i wasn't so in love with the TKC i would go for that in a heartbeat. Best of luck on the build Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
  24. Can someone enlighten me as to the difference between overlapping joints and regular. I am planning on building a tkc ,and I'm planning on going for centurion right off the bat.
  25. Do you need to buy the fused butt and kidney plate separate or can it be modded Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
