These didn’t actually show up on screen did they?

The white ones, not yet! Who knows if they’ll show up in new footage.

So funny to see such a cheap painted $25 light go for $3,0000. However.. $25 doesn’t get you the COA. That’s what the $2,975 is for! Lol

I’m not sure they’re selling yet! A recent auction saw the baton passed in.
I had the chance to buy one for £300 but let it go.

It may well be concept art but if we got Trevorrow’s DUEL OF THE FATES it would have been a darker First Order.

BBB DAY!! Some reason my package was stuck in Sweden over 2 weeks but finally it is here!
I think that my detonator is missing... So much plastic but I hope all other parts are here
And so the journey begins!
Good luck, enjoy it, and be sure to shout out if you have ANY questions.

I like the idea of a rear zipper, can't wait to see that implemented.
A good chance for you to match the forearms Chris

Nice collection!
So I’m guessing, in regards to the forearms, just because there’s a screenshot of a particular character that they won’t allow it? Is this similar thought towards things like missing armor, Mr. No Stripes, and things like that?

Really up to the GML and how closely they follow the CRL, however, some garrisons (and strict ones at that) have approved TFA TDs on TLJ Troopers as the person submitting was able to prove the existence of the TFA TD in the movie.
The cut of the forearm is not specified in the current TLJ CRL and come the revamp post-elections may still not be specific.
There is a difference between the forearm shape between TFA and TLJ so definitely worth an ask in advance to save yourself hassle.

Ahhhh.. well that helps! I couldn’t find that particular shot and didn’t know it was specific for him. Yeah, I do like the mobility. Not having to pay attention to which way my forearm is facing before bending my elbow is kinda nice.

Anovos HIGHLY accentuated this cut in their TLJ kits. It’s ridiculous.

Also, I keep seeing this forearm. It has the cut out near the flare that drops down. I’m assuming it’s an Anovos thing and KB is using the same shape. But I’m curious why it’s there if it’s not a screen used part of armor.. I saw that TheSwede fixed his KB forearm.

That style of cut came about as a result of a mod to John Boyega’s kit that assisted mobility. It’s affectionately known as the ‘Finn mod’.

And just for fun.. I had to have a place to display my Stormtrooper bucket. So I got a shelf from Ikea for the guest room.
But because there were four spots, I needed more buckets (naturally). So I picked up a Black Series Luke X-Wing and Vader helmet to help fill the spots. The Boba Fett one is on pre-order for May.

Looks familiar It’s as if Ikea design for SW collectors.

They do have some significant weight to them!
And here are the other items I grabbed. Got some clip greeblies.
The ones on top are KB supplied and the bottom are the cast ones very similar to what was used on screen armor. The smaller clips are almost the same size, but the larger ones are much different.
I do love the detail in the KB pieces, but I like the larger clips, especially for the spats. They already have the curve and they have the little ‘pin’ on them. I am definitely using the larger ones on the spats due to the surface area underneath for Velcro.

The greeblies are a nice production accuracy update. I’d already completed my build by the time they came my way.

Great progress!
Great choice on the holster - a great upgrade.
The hand plates are awesome, as are the centre belt boxes. Both guards and centre boxes are a must in my opinion.
It’s a shame the RHS ammo boxes are so heavy. You’ll also want yo prep and treat them well as you’ll likely get a few pin holes.

There are a few variants for sale across the Internet. There is also a black version which claims to be a Rebel Baton.
At the end of the day it's a $25 rechargeable inspection lamp easily obtained from AliExpress.

Turns out a 3D print won’t be needed.
With a little extra research it turns out the stun baton is a found part.
Production has a history of sourcing cheap flashlights out of China - the knockoff M300A is a classic example.
And to think, a spray painted torch with red painted glass was put up for auction late last year for a tidy sum.

Just returned from a third viewing and there's lots of fun stuff to be caught when watching the FOTK scenes very closely.
There's a scene on Kijimi that is reversed, so the calf greeblies appear on the right leg. There are bendy cod pieces all over the place, a cracking thigh split as Poe et al escape the Star Destroyer, and then there is the case of the shortening TD end cap.
As you can seen from the pic below the trooper on screen right has the standard width black end cap (approx. 1in/25mm), whereas trooper left as a much shorter end cap. It's all black so isn't a TFA TD. Given the TD cylinder is an insert it looks like they were prone to getting pushed further in to the holder.
I spotted this issue a few times and it can also be seen in the 'Jedi Mind Trick' scene.
Can't wait until late Match/early April for the 4K Ultra version.

Thought I’d share some info regarding a cool weapon that was created for TROS.
This 'stun baton' was codenamed the SUGAR CUBE BATON.
This deadly looking dumbbell was constructed of cast plastic and resin, with wooden and metal components.
When closed it measured 10in L x 2.5in W. When deployed it was 14.25in L.
Who knows, perhaps we'll see it in the deleted scenes of extended version if it ever gets released.
In the meantime I know there are plans to create a 3D print of the baton.

Okay maybe I should have posted a picture of what I was asking earlier.
Just to confirm, is overlaps on both sides accepted, or is it only on the inside.
I would say you’ll need to shim the outer greave to create the required seam. Make sure the large greeblie fits well to determine final fit.
The inner seam can overlap as you wish.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
I didn’t even know that overlap was allowed, will it affect approval at any level?
Overlaps were a feature of the TFA and TLJ kits, but more pronounced on the latter. Biceps, thighs and greaves.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
Looking good! Will you shim the seam or overlap slightly?
Speaking over overlaps, have you got enough on the inside of each greave?

Whilst revisiting the Fortnite ‘Jedi Mind Trick’ clip I noticed these two blasters appear to have the cocking lever on the LHS of the blaster.

Thanks!
For the blaster, I have a 3D printer so I’m printing it myself. Some pieces are not there as they’re still being printed:duim:
You’re doing a great job with the print

Making speedy progress mate - great job!
I trust the blaster is a quick test build with the smaller detailed pieces and end cap missing? Making sure whoever sent it didn’t forget pieces! Sadly happens all too often.

Thanks, saw the Disney/Anovos FOTks ate GE earlier with the seems visible..
I recently got my Anovos kit and filling the seam would me a solid front-back armor that will be very difficult to get into as the front part of the yoke is not a separate piece..
Is there a thread discussing this or showing how its fixed?
I'd recommend taking a look at Lee's excellent build thread: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/48090-lee_c-anovos-tlj-build/
He is one of a handful of people who have completed the Anovos build....unless you count the guys who did the work for Disney

Hi All,
Was wondering if there is a thread discussing the new ANOVOS FOTK kits now having split shoulder yoke/straps?
..and if/how those can be fixed or approved?
Seems all new ANOVOS FOTK armor design has the front and back shoulder yokes molded to their respective sides and split at the top of the shoulders.
Was this change seen in TLJ or TROS FOTKs?
The shoulder seam is purely an Anovos design feature and has nothing to do with production used FOTKs.
Those that have already built these kits have filled the seam prior to painting.
All the Anovos kits at SWGE were built with the seam visible.

It was great to see this kit pass with flying colours. An easy pass for a job extremely well done.
This thread will prove of huge value to those who will follow in your footsteps.
