Advice on Shadow trooper decals

I think i may put an 'outside canon' suit together just for a laugh. I'm really tempted to do a properly camo scout trooper too. Haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Mine is ABS, which is quite enjoyable to work with. Have shifted everything around and made good progress. Need to tidy some of the lining up a bit, plus I'm waiting on the tube stripe templates to arrive and the foam for the interior. Please feel free to give criticism as I'd like to get 501st approval.

Feel free to be brutal, this is the first time doing anything like this so need as many pointers as possible.

I can't seem to add photo's, any advice? -
Advice on Shadow trooper decals
JimmyFilth replied to JimmyFilth's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Brilliant, thanks for that, may be the route I go as (like you say) it looks really cleans.

I've seen shadow stormtroopers with a white imperial cog on the left hand side of the chest that looks awesome, but this is on the new battlefront game so I'm guessing not canon -
Advice on Shadow trooper decals
JimmyFilth replied to JimmyFilth's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I've read the CRL and they list the colour variations, but not specifically if grey frown means grey traps etc, or whether I can pick or choose. I also cannot find anything specifically about this on the forum, but this may be testament to my amateur searching skills -
After biting the bullet and deciding to go shadow, I would just like some clarification on the shadow storm trooper, mainly the helmet and decals.

On the CRL it says there are a number of variations on lense, friown, tube stripes, traps and vocoder. Is this down to the individual? I like the look of the frown and lenses being silver with a grey vocoder and traps. Or are there specific mixes of this? It also says the rear and tear traps may have stripes, again, js this optional? It also mentions the 'body' of the ears can be grey. Which part is the body? Is it the complete unit? The circular bit or the raised section in the middle?

Finally, on the helmet. It says the tube stripes can be either blue or black, is this personal choice? Are the greys and blues the same as on a standard storm trooper?

On other parts aside from the helmet, on the CRL it states that a black Pauldron is an optional extra, but I see there has been some criticism of this as there is no canon evidence of this. I have also seen a picture on 'wookipedia' of a shadow stormtrooper with MP40 punches on the waist belt, is this non-canon also?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I would very much like to know as I was about to install it! Good news, I have changed the fitment and it all seems to have Gina together a lot better now. -

Wait, so mesh behind teeth is wrong???
I have a second pair, but just wanted to see if this is salvageable. I think it doesn't help that I'm new so any gaps, although may be screen accurate to me still seem like imperfections. -

Ok, I have straightened that bit, cut the eyes out, done the teeth and have initially assembled held in place with bolts. I'm doing the ears but am struggling and can't get rid of the gap completely.

I have some milliput to fit the lenses and mesh inside the helmet (have also used it to strengthen the plastic where the hovi mic tips are).

Now, would it pass the 501st test if I were to fill the gap with the milliput?? I'll try and attach pics of the gap... -

The brow isn't quite straight where the trim is, not sure if this is normal? The trim will cover it but I am not sure whether to straighten it. -

I know I need to clean up the front of the cap where the trim will go, but not sure by how much.

I'm also unsure whether I should extend that trim line a little further.

Hoping the ears will cover the gap on the side. Or maybe I'm mounting it incorrectly?
