  1. If they sell the kit for 1800-2000 they are high beyond the world. I think 1800 should be ensembled not a damn kit! Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  2. Respect for that I could see why it wouldn't be ok, but because of the circumstances I agree with you. Anyone could do it and he isn't asking for a lot of money compared to other $200+ blasters. I will probably get one and report back to this thread or make another on its quality Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  3. What justifies your statement? That's Jims kit and he is 501st approved in multiple costumes if I recall. Also a bunch of people have already gotten his kit and been approved to my knowledge. The kit has to be cut, sanded, bonded, and fitted before one can judge it's accuracy in my opinion Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  4. Hyped as much as everyone else I started digging into details on when the armor will be released. Currently just got done with my Sandtrooper and awaiting approval. But for the FO armor I'm going to take a gamble and buy a ensembled suit. Not that I can't ensemble but I want to see how different it is. And to be honest I don't feel like bonding at the moment. So after talking to a ANOVOS rep he stated this "We are excited to tell you, the armor will be released after New Years Day!" Maybe I'm wrong to assume but, does that imply first week of January? I got 2k sitting in a savings waiting for the pre-orders lol. My guess is a ensembled armor set WITHOUT helmet will be $1500-$1900 What does everyone think? Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  5. Can you link me to Jims kit and info? Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

  9. Alright so here it is. Now its not 100% finished i still gotta add snaps here and there. And adjust a couple elastic straps but this is getting close to what it is going to be. Now before you say anything. This is going to be a sandtrooper not a stormtrooper. But they are relatively close in armor acceptance. Out of all the experts here. Anything you guys recommend? Dont like? Think i should change? Thanks for all the help so far guys its been an amazing experience day in and day out!! Helmet - AP Armor - eFX (i know not the greatest)
  10. Haha yeah although i appreciate the support Caleb, it kinda does matter what the 501st thinks lol.
  11. Alright so i found this kit on ebay (shun me now) not to long ago and i watched it. After 3 weeks his price dropped 400 dollars and then i talked him into coming down another 150. At this point i paid 600 total for the kit. Just to get the kit and find out it is an FX kit with an FX helmet. From my knowledge, i through a fit at the guy telling him this helmet is no longer 501st approvable and he returned ANOTHER $150 to me so i could get a correct helmet. At this point i paid $450. Not only was it a full kit but it came with ALL the sandtrooper things needed, and on top of that a $200 mic setup still in its package. So total i spent around $50 for a full kit of armor and the other 400 for the extra stuff that can easily be re-sold. This was basically ebay robbery so i had to do it haha. Upon further inspection i realized it was a jedi-robe kit (there were jedi-robe business cards everywhere). Ive been trimming and glueing and strapping this armor together and have been researching so peoples pictures of jedi-robe armor. Either they upgraded there armor or ive done hell of a job trimming. Or maybe i have high hopes lol. But the armor is coming out pretty well, and to top it off i got my AP helmet assembled to go with it! So even though it was jedi-robe armor, for $450 bucks did i really lose out?
  12. Disregard this post just figured out the sandtrooper site sorry guys :/
  13. Hello again everyone! So im currently in process of making me Sandtrooper. As i run through my stuff and compare it with the 501st checklist on what has to be what to get approved, i ran into a problem with my belt. Now i have a canvas off white 3" belt but the hard part or "ammo boxes" are required to have 3 buttons, one in the middle, 1 on each end. On my belt i have one in the middle but none on the ends. Anyone know of anyone running into this issue and what they did to improvise and fix it? Was thinking of adding plastic buttons then painting them all the same white. Let me know if thats acceptable! Thanks yall!!!
  14. Haha thanks! I meant to update the post i have bought a AP helmet from trooper TK1336, from what ive read he is reputable and multiple members have gotten kits from him! Thanks guys!
