Excited to see this come together! The paint job on the helmet looks really good.

Here's a pic of the helmet from launch bay I found.

Nice work with the bondo!

I'm making this into a 5 second GIF to go in my sig if you're alright with that. 5 seconds is just long enough to get the FISD in there.
Thank you buddy these are really nice.
Looks good!

Yeah, the strip does look a bit thick, I'll be making it smaller. That is a huge update, Aaron. Just your clearing strip on the inner bolt seems a bit wide to me. Would suggest to check the cleaned Sterling parts in the gallery chapter. Correct width is about 6,4mm.
Are you going to do some fine-tuning on the front sight guard and the hole in your folding stock front?
And yes, I will be fine tuning the sight and the hole. I'll take some more photos of them to get your input. These are also just rough starts on the parts.
I hope to work done soon, but one of my sisters is getting married this week, so I probably won't get much done. Hopefully Friday will bring more updates.
And thanks for all the pointers Tino! They are really appreciated.

The chest straps look like some straps I've used for scuba diving. If you have a dive shop near by it might be worth a look, though I can't guarantee anything, just a thought.

very nice! if we have any video specials, may we have permission to use this?
Yep! Also if you have requests, such as the effect going faster or slower or different designs and backgrounds I'm willing to do that as well.

Let me know if you need assistance for posting pictures, as Aaron's link covers the photobucket method but you are using flickr.
Whoops, didn't even think about that! Sorry about that.
Maybe this would help? http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=10760.0

I love what you said Vern. I totally agree. I mean there are 111,000+ replys on the Anovos preorder thread, and the armor isn't even out yet. I bet when we get the armor it should (knock on wood) quite down.as far as it goes, the FISD is about building costumes, and getting the details right.
end of line.

Yeah, I'm glad you recommended that I thin them out.Glad to see you thinned the guards. Looks so much better.
Somehow I like the way your photos are organzied now

All righty! I was able to work a bit tonight. Here's my progress. Also changed the photos to be smaller, better for viewing.
I finally found a way to look at references by putting my iPad in a plastic bag. Happy day, no nasty resin! I brought the thickness of the flash guards down and the sanded down the gluing side.
Next I replaced the fake screw with real ones.
Then I worked on the trigger. I used a spring from a pen that was graciously donated by college recruiters.
Chris, your suggestion worked wonderfully! I was able to get the proper size for the hole.
Getting the selector and the d-ring thingy fixed for the proper d-ring. For the selector I sanded a bit to much so in the pictures below I used foam to build up the height, later i found a washer of the proper size that I will use instead.
Next came the folding stock. Then drilled the holes out and cleared out the resin and fitted the pipe insert.
That's as far as I have gotten tonight.

Yeah, I know I'm getting rude... But honestly, all this ANOVOS stuff is getting ridiculous, and starts to wear me down. Sorry.
I don't blame you, there is a lot of hullabaloo going on. The funny thing is that we don't even have the kits in our hands yet.
-
Unscrew the phillip screws, relocate the clips, screw. Paint the screw heads in black for extra touch. Done. You can get your Centurion.
What the hell guys? Aren't you aware that most of us before ANOVOS needed to bend our own clips. Don't get lazy...
Yikes! We just have questions...

Too bad. It would be better for both parties if it came incomplete. They would just send us the pieces and we put it together. Oh well.Nope, according to the email, ANOVOS says it comes pre-built, as does the belt/holster:
I suspect that this means the TD might also be actually bolted to the belt, which means relocating the TD clips might expose holes in the belt. Not sure about this, though.
