so I want to buy the DD e11 kit but I am put off by shipping cost to USA. I also think it's lame that they don't combine shipping or even discount shipping multiple items. am I the only one annoyed by this?

The more I look at these boots the more I think they will be okay for EIB and centurion. I think if I just smooth the sole, pain the sole black, then paint the leather white white. What issues do you all see?

Okay so I have been looking everywhere for Chelsea boots in wide widths. I have read that Imperial Boots and TkBoots run a bit narrow. I found these boots on Amazon, they are Rockports and they come in wide widths.------------------My biggest concern with these being accepted is the sole. I think I could grind the sole smooth. Also the elastic/fabric part is just a bit wider and longer down the side than on the originals. I would hope that these could be considered acceptable with a few modifications. I think they would be a great option for those of us with neanderthal feet! What do you guys think?

Is there a good guide for strapping? I am almost sure I will be using elastic and snaps but I am having trouble finding any tutorials or guides. I don't even know what size elastic is needed. One thread says you 2" white while another will say 1 1/2" white.
