1. Not so much a horror story, but wanted to share....
My wife and kids were watching me troop when a lady came up and put her arm around me for a photo.
Our 10 year old daughter turned to my wife and very firmly said "Mum, you said we weren't allowed to get upset when Dad played with other kids, so you aren't allowed to get upset when he plays with other women! "

    That's my boy! ;)

  2.

Just logged on to FedEx and I have a tracking number. Label has been created, but not shipped yet.

For reference, I ordered from Anovos on April 18. So, Celebration Tier.

Same here...I ordered on the April 16th, and mine has made its way from California to Arizona so far. It's scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday the 26th. They are ahead of schedule so far...I was in the "Jan 30th to Feb 15" delivery group based on my purchase date.

Guys, I ordered Apr. 17th, but since I live in Europe, I don't have access to your fancy delivery manager. :(

I suppose it's reasonable to assume that mine is aboutto ship as wzll, just like yours.

  3. I'm living in Luxemburg, which has a pretty low VAT rate compared to other European countries: 17%

My gripe is that it gets slapped on top of the TOTAL price you paid for import goods. In the case of the 350$ armor, I paid a total of 492.80$ incl. shipping.

This in turn equals 451.65€ (today. Will fluctuate) 17% VAT of that sum equals 76.78€ which I will have to pay when it gets intercepted (which I don't doubt it will)

  4. I have to pick this stuff up at a shipping place across the border... I think they only hold orders for a couple weeks so I am wondering how I am going to do this without paying duty 2 times if i have to make two trips....... Gahh

Well, if they ask for duty payment on the fitlrst delivery, you bring proof of the full price paid, explain that it will delivered in 2 boxes, and a sk for a reciept when you pay. Next time, you bring said proof and said receipt.

At least that's what I'll do if my boxes get intercepted by customs here.

  5. Today I got my Stanley Fatmax 190l/50gal box.

While I don't plan on painting it white (I think it's not really worth the effort because I fear the paint will be pro e to cracking etc) I do plan on customizing it a bit inside and out.

My first question would be, how do you guys go about removing the Stanley logo on the cover? Can it be pried off?

How did you dress it out with foam on the inside, and what did you do with the removable tray? I suppose it will be useful to store a repair-kit and tools.

I just need something to do before Anovos gets their act together and starts shipping. :-)

  6. And as far as the webbing goes, even if they don't have a QC at the factory in China (which we don't even know), I suppose those pieces get sorted out back at Anovos when they pack things up for individual shipping. It might be good enough for the average chinese worker, but not for the guys who have a license to lose.
