So whilst others have been enjoying Telford, I had more work to do on my lid.
I decided to rip out all the old tech and start over.
Lined the lid black.
Then decided on a red theme for the interior detail.
Next will be to install the wireless mic system
Hearing assist (with a little more modding)
And then on to swapping out the fans for 5v ones
Marc
What's the red material around the lenses?

Were you thinking of incorporating a red LED into the mouthpiece by chance?

It should be noted that the Battlefront screen grab is awesome! Talk about a nice 16 bit throwback!

Just got the notification! My HWT has been approved! I will be officially debuting my HWT at a Rogue One screening this Friday at a local theatre! Very Excited.
A very special thank you to Shawn (CrookKnight) for building my pack for me. I wanted to also thank Shea for allowing me to pick his build thread a part for ideas on how to attach my Ammo Packs. I will be staying Shiny for the time being until I receive my RT-Mod replacement parts. Hopefully by next month! Ultimate goal is to become Centurion with my HWT. *Fingers Crossed*
Woohoo!
Congrats!!!

What material did you use for the belt? 1.5" wide elastic?

Today I was able to get some more done on this beast. I am not going to bore you with all of the steps, just show you some of the milestone photos.
I cut the black 0.25" thick PVC sheets into 6"x12" and chamfered the edges. This is where my table sander comes in really handy.
Next I placed the 2 air tanks (we will call them - they are actually floor cleaning bottles) on the sheet. I used painters tape as kind of a guide so I could figure out the best way to cut this.
Ignore the other pack build in the background.
I used my router to cut out the 2 squares for the bottles to fit thru. (A little rough looking, I know. But I will clean it up later)
I then place the bottles into the Fin. This is the first of 8-10 fins that the bottles will go thru.
It appears my test worked pretty well. The next ones should not be as difficult for me to figure out.
Next Step:
Cut all Fins to proper shapes. Insert tanks thru Fins. Paint Gray.
I have to get a respirator before I make more cuts of this plastic.
Nice progress!

Wasn't there someone on the forums who had the 3D model of this trooper?
That could be really beneficial.
Edit: Here.. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/39158-magma-trooper-battlefront-version/
Maybe contact him and get the files?
Good call , forgot about that thread.
BSP said they could do it but not until after Dec since they are swamped with R1 armor / helmets right now.
Perhaps some other resources could be used to source as an alternative.

Could I ask someone to find / share some close up photos of the mouth guard here? I'll get them over to the BSP boys and see what they can mock up -

Hmmm...All i have is a ANH bucket.
TK/HWT 10204
501st Imperial Attaché
Carolina Garrison
Btw - I wonder if you could have strong magnets on the mouth guard and the Bucket for easy attachment / removal - could then do the same with the aerators if you wanted to go regular TK

While I think I can create the pack and the tube going to the front of the helmet, I know that I cannot build the piece at the front of the helmet. As you can see the tube connects to the helmet where the 2 Hovi Mic Tips usually go and there is also a red light. If there is anyone reading this that thinks they may have a source for where I can get these or knows someone that could make these for me, please let me know. Thank you.
I'll ask the boys over at Back Stage Props too - they're good friends and may be able to help out.

His pack does look awesome! Where'd you end up picking up your Pauldron & armo packs from? TB?

No. For those I will use the same type of canister shown in another thread. I think they used spray sunscreen bottles.
This is for the large canisters that are embeded within the 10 Fins (1/4 PVC panels). It appears that the top valve and the bottom valve along with the 2 small canisterts run through the large ones.
Still not sure what the purpose of the plate and hatch on the left side of the pack is for? This is going to be a challenge to find. If I cannot find, I will have to create something.
I see what you mean now. Sometimes I wish we could just send a tweet to the game designers and get their direct input on how they designed it!

I found 2 different bottles that might work. The only issue is the smaller version costs $11 each and the larger version costs $45 each. Kind of pricey, so I am looking for an alternative that is cheaper. If anyone knows of anything close, let me know.
See pictures below:
Is this for the double gas canisters on the bottom?

Did you also notice the new type of fabric on the undersuit in the above pic?
Looks similar to the gaskets from VII
