  1. Testy Test http://tkarmor.blogspot.com/2015/06/testy-test.html
  2. This was me with the legs.
  3. Everything is good. I have a habit of talking faster than my brain. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. The helmet is done with the green stuff... see the blog and past posts about it. These are swim goggles with my prescription for use inside the bucket.
  5. INSIDE the helmet. On my eyeballs. I didn't explain myself... I look like Riddick.. They are swimming goggles so they seem darker in photos than they really are. I'm still wearing them while typing this message.
  6. My -4.0 goggles arrived! Now I can see out of the bucket. I have contacts, but I dislike them. I wore contacts for 23 years and after going back to glasses, I prefer glasses. I also didn't work well with bifocal glasses or contacts, made my verdigo kick in. Sidenote: I wasn't clear... these will not be seen from the outside. They go on my eyeballs instead of my glasses.
  7. Thanks guys. I'm off today so hopefully I can try another test fit when my chores are done.
  8. Update after SWW. Silence of the Calves http://tkarmor.blogspot.com/2015/05/silence-of-calves.html
  9. It's so shiny. http://tkarmor.blogspot.com/2015/05/it-so-shiny.html
  10. I'm shining up the armor now. One bicep needs one more coat of paint.

  12. Y'know, looking at the back plate, its got humps and bumps...I think I'm being too critical of my art.
  13. I have about had enough....actually my back has had enough. I'm 3 seconds away front not giving a F#@&. Tiny bubbles...about three...that won't go away. I'm about to call it in. It's G.E.F.P. (good enough for parade) because you can't see the defects from 6 feet away. If that's not good enough then so be it, I can still apply to Starfleet.
  14. Haha yep. My house smells like a body shop and a nail salon. If I go out on the porch, you can hear the water sprites conspiring to wet me with the rain.
  15. I, the Happy Holistic Chick, should've thought about vinegar. I have a Rainbow vac, I'll put in de-stink mode for a day with the vinegar. Thanks for the reminder.
  16. Do you know how to get the smell of acrylic nail liquid out of a home?? LOL HAHA It smells like a morgue in here. Call me Formalde-Heidi. Haha
  17. LoL. Your thread WAS my inspiration, and kept me going. I bow to thy greatness.

  19. Helmet delivered-COMPLETE http://tkarmor.blogspot.com/2015/05/helmet-delivered.html
  20. I used a pencil to measure the tape. It was a Prismacolor art pencil not a no.2 pencil. It is an ATA helmet. It measures 10cm across the cheek. All decal files I have acquired with 13/16" tube stripes height have exceeded 11cm. The other decals were also a bit larger than the teardrops and traps so I reduced them to fit the helmet areas. (I printed the decal files and used them as stencils - see the blogger link in previous posts). Is this helmet a little smaller than most?? Also, in regards to casting, the left side is a bit smooshed in than the right. Note the vocoder is tilted.
  21. Before I paint. I need someone to chime in with an OK or REDO. Please, help.
  22. Yes. Big relief. Happy to understand why I was getting so much tension and no flat spot. Side note, my printer server decided it wanted to freeze. I'm not about to get on another long term sidetrack reloading Windows for one print job, so I'm putting that PC job all the way down the "ToDo" list. Guess I'm going old school. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/15245-tube-stripes-done-old-school/
