  2. Here are some pictures of the very early stages of the armor build that Diversity Props is doing for me. Still sanding to do. Looking amazing so far.
  3. I have requested build photos from Diversity on what is being done on their end. I will post those and all the work I do on my end in my build thread.
  4. I officially canceled my order. Going with Diversity Props. Should have my armor in 6 weeks.
  5. So been a long time since I posted anything here. Anovos has taken to long to get things shipped, so I am currently looking at Diversity Props for my Armor. Since it is an option I am going with the TLJ ABS kit they have. The chest and back piece they make for it is all one piece. Here is a CAD of it along with the executioner helmet they have. I am going with the standard TLJ kit. They are going to pull a chest piece this weekend and send over a picture before I pull the trigger.
  6. I totally agree and didn’t intend to come across that way. Though I would think that the majority of folks buying things like armor would be getting them to find a group to troop with. I don’t think an outright ban from any group regarding any product is a good idea. Though I think issues like this should be well addressed and highly visible so people can understand what they might be getting into. Then make the decision for themselves if they want to do business with that company or individual.
  7. LOL, Here is the letter I drafted up for it. Chris, I am writing you to bring to your attention the continuing issues that Anovos has had in delivering their First Order Armor. I purchased this back in November of 2016 with a suspected ship date of September of 2017. I talked to Anovos in July at D23 and was assured the armor was on schedule to be delivered. Around the first of September a letter came out from them stating that the dies they were using to pull the armor was giving out after a few pieces were made and that they needed to create a metal mold for it. That the ship date would be moved to around November 2017. Naturally I was frustrated mostly because this kind of problem should have been found months before instead of a month from the delivery deadline. Though I was glad they were trying to make a superior product. November came and another letter was sent out stating that they were seeing continuing problems but they were changing factories in China and everything should go smoother. That the ship date would be spring of 2018. Well spring came this year another letter with it stating that everything was on target for a summer release. Should start shipping out in June/July. Well that has come and gone. When I contact them through their online chat service all I or any one on the whitearmor.net message board gets is that they don’t know anything and they should be shipping out end of summer. I have contacted them monthly since the first delay to try to get an update and they refuse to give any details. Last night from prompting from my wife I went to look at the Better Business Bureau and it was not pretty, please see below for what is posted on their site regarding them. I know Disney is super customer focused and wanted to bring this to your attention since Anovos is licensed by you to make these. Any help you can provide in the matter would be greatly appreciated. BBBTC began publishing this report on this company on 2/16/17. According to BBBW, on January 27th, 2016, the BBB sent a certified letter to ANOVOS Productions due to a pattern of consumer concerns received by BBB from consumers. In the complaints, consumers advised that they had not received their orders. On March 14th, 2016 the BBB sent a certified follow up letter to the company after receiving no response to the initial letter.   9. As a follow up I submitted a complaint to the BBB. Doubt it will do much but maybe some outside pressure might help.

  11. So.... in anticipation of more disappointment. Does anyone have any leads on anyone else selling these kits? I am ready to move past this. I want to start trooping and enough is enough.
  12. That is good news, though he doesn’t specify fall 2018 so does leave them an opening.
  13. If it gets moved to July I will start to look for another supplier. Honestly can’t understand the issues they are having. Is pulling the plastic for these that much harder and difficult than everything else they are making?

  15. I have missed several Cons and events I had planned to wear this to. Looks like I will miss bringing it to WorldCon as well. So frustrating, I am almost at the point of just asking for my money back and then trying to sell everything I have purchased on the side for it and washing my hands of this thing entire debacle. It's taken something that was a passion and turned it into something I am starting to resent. They have truly turned me away of purchasing anything from them again in the future.
  16. I talked to them yesterday. They still don't have any of the kits in. That it is on the summer delivery schedule. Which means they have until September to ship it out or more than likely to tell us it is a fall delivery.

  18. The summer season started 3 days ago and so far not a single person has gotten a notice about shipment. I won't believe anything they say about ship dates until there is hard evidence they are actually going to follow through with it.

  20. Here is the latest from Anovos. "The kits are going to begin shipping in the Spring Season before June 20th and continue shipping through the Summer Season until September 21st, but since your order is from 2016 it will likely be shipping late Spring/early Summer!" I ordered November 2016.
  21. Ahh crap, I keep forgetting about that extra expense. I hope it isn’t a ton and as you may have guessed already I haven’t heard anything.
