I agree with the seamless clone look; lots of work to get it to look good!
About the undersuit and the armor layering... I came up with this.
3 layers: undersuit, with ribbed attached neckseal that opens and closes via two snaps at the back, and ribbed sleeves
Vest layer with ribbed shoulders and a solid black collar (maybe made of foam?)
Hard Armor over the top; shoulder armor attaches to the vest 'sleeves', like Mando/Fett shoulder armor.
Just spit-balling ideas here.

Well, the leaked helmet is the real deal (I had my doubts until now). And I love the new armor! It looks like there's carbon fibre plates under the white armor, based on the Tattooine shot?
I will be most certainly getting myself a set of this armor once they are available.

In addition, you should ask if they used E600 as their glue. From what I understand, you can peel apart the pieces with no damage to the plastic if E6000 was used. If so, then you can trim down some parts so they fit better.

I was looking for some cool patterns to cover the frown & teeth on my clone helmet. I had a really hard time finding anything other than screen door material. Try photo etched metal grate patterns for detailing plastic scale models:

In the end, I put in a double layer of plastic screen door material for my clone helmet. I'll do the same with my TK helmet when I get it.

Right now, I've got replies and info back from AP in Canada, and the MTK suit found currently on eBay (sorry, no new info that hasn't already been said around here).
I live in Canada, so the AP sounds like a logical choice. However, I do have a 36" waist & 42" chest, so fitting it will take some shimming work. I've sent a request to ATA as well, to see what they can offer. Finally, I sent a request to AM, which sounds like the best choice, given my body size and type. I think that at 5'10", RT would fit girth-wise but may be too tall out of the box.

Thanks for the welcome and suggestions, everyone. Sooo… I'm not even sure what you mean by a 'shim'. Is it a bad thing, to be avoided? Should I go with an RT-Mod kit instead?

Hey everyone,
I joined here this week. I'm looking for a new armor project this year. I finished a Clone Commander Bly this fall, and am 90% refinished my ESB Boba Fett. I've been building costumes for the past couple years here near Edmonton, Alberta.
I just bit the bullet on a DD pipe blaster kit and scope, and am now scoping (get it? ) finishing parts for the blaster build. I'm also looking into TK armor & helmet sets right now. PandaTrooper (my garrison armorer) has given me a couple recommendations already (RT, ATA & AP with a little shimming?)
If you're willing to throw out some armor recommendations, feel free. I'm 5'10", 36" waist, about 210 lbs. thanks!

Looks like the back armor continues and loops over the front around the shoulders and armpits, leaving a much narrower chestpiece. From the back, I think the chestpiece overlaps the back armor under the arms.
