  1. I recommend ATA to 90% + of everyone... but I'd say do AM.

Get a helmet from ATA or TM though.

Yes Skyler, and the AM2.0 will probably fit better and you'll get it sooner for sure, but you won't be able to get centurion like Bluey here because of the back plate... If that's something you plan on working for.

    Bluey,

Why no AM helmet? Usually the problem I see often is the ears seem to come out a bit more than all other makers, and it's overall a little bit bigger. What else is there?

  2. If you e-mail both of them they'll give you the dimensions of their armor and any information you will need. You might have to shim either way, as I will with AM 2.0, but AM will fir you a lot better. It's not so much which armor is better, it's more of a which armor is better for you. In my non-professional opinion, I would go with AM2.0. You'll get that one sooner as well.

  3. I'm newer to the FISD as well, but it helps if you read a lot of the first page of the forum topics first. I assume for the experts it can get annoying answering the same questions over again. It will take an immense amount of research to complete your armor. Be prepared for that. Here is almost all of the info about the Anovos armor. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30831-anovos-tk-armor-preorder/

Head on to this topic as well

and read all of the pinned threads.

The sale price of $350 ends May 4th, just to let you know.

    Good luck with your armor!

  4. Hope this might be the right place to post this, but does anyone have a lead on the 4th trooper from the right (in the gap between the foreground troopers)? The one with the black "vest" looking thing...

Anybody else think the guy most toward the center; in between rows, pretty much right below the main imperial guy in top, looks a lot like a Snowtrooper? he has the backpack, the different looking helmet, and the little cape over his butt and legs. There is snow in the background as well. Nice to see at least four* different helmets in this shot though.

  5. I did read that it comes with everything needed to assemble it.

You'll need tools and sander/dremel/sandpaper. Or stuff for an alternate strapping system if you so choose. I hope I comes with extra ABS for shimming. Check out their updated FAQ's, they answer a lot of our questions, and check back frequently as they will most likely update it again soon. As far as the Armor goes, they said everything but the finished product gets goes into the kit. You'll need boots and an E-11, or other weapon type.

I live in upstate NY as well, but the Definition varies. I Don't see a lot of them here in these forums. It seems like a lot of the members live more near me then up by the St. Lawrence river, or over by Albany. Best way to find out is to head to that forum and introduce yourself! When I went on often it didn't seem like it was used too frequently like this forum is, but there are some people who do a lot of work there as well. If you are more towards NYC, I would check out the empire city garrison,  www.empirecitygarrison.com

Alien, it looks like the whole shin piece  just got rotated, the cover strip is facing the camera as well.

  7. Do you think that vaders skull is still in the melted helmet?

They burned him like they did to Qui-Gon Jinn. So his skull shouldn't be.... hopefully no retcon'ing in this movie.

Dark CMF: He didn't disappear like the others that turned into force-ghosts did. Although, that was kinda explained to Yoda by Qui-Jon in the clone wars final season... I may be mixing up legends though. Maybe they changed it in the digital release... George liked to do that maybe Disney will too. Although I noticed they cleaned up the Han shot first scene a bit. Awesome trailer, I got so excited I had to pee immediately!

Sorry, Check again. This is the screen when I click on the link you provided:

Ok so Completed it $1,600, but if you pre-order it before Star Wars Day, (May 4th) it's $1,200. The kit is $650, but pre-ordered is $350. Hopefully that clears up any questions on that. Question is.... will it be legion approved.... and it seems like it's not personalized like some of the armorers here like AM 2.0 or RT-mod.

Maybe we should start a new thread about Anvos Armor.

  9. I'm a big fan of the Star Wars Books. Unfortunately, I was a little late finding out about all of these books, and am trying to read 20+ before the new stuff comes out. Just bought Vector Prime, (yes I know I have a ways to go, but I've read 13 books since Christmas so we'll see if I can do it.)

The First book after ROTJ was announced! Aftermath!

    http://www.starwars.com/news/what-happened-after-endor-find-out-in-star-wars-aftermath

It covers what happens after they destroy the second Death Star. Now, I thought that the debris of the explosion killed off all of the Ewoks, but it seems like they won't go that way this time. Anyway, hope some of you are looking forward to more of the (canon) Star Wars story as much as I am.

So far Kenobi is the book I've enjoyed the most. What is yours?

  10. I've only seen the show once and liked it very much... unfortunately my wife didn't. But I got her to watch the walking dead with me, and just that was great in itself. Do you think it was a scripted event, or did it really happen that way. Either way its still really awesome!

  11. If you send the AM 2.0 guy an e-mail. He'll send you back the measurements the armor comes with. Unless all of your weight is in your gut, you might not need to shim anything. I can PM you the e-mail address if you want. Maybe not so much with a few makers, but it seems like with most armor there is some length of waiting, everybody seems to say RT-mod is worth the wait.

  12. I looked in that other thread with the similar name and realised it was referring to taller builds. I am interested in the larger tummied gentlemen and women.

What should I be looking at?

    Cheers

Yeah, go with AM 2.0. the RT mod looks really amazing, but is meant for the taller side as you mentioned. AM is the way to go for the horizontally larger person. I'm not super big, and have been losing weight, but am going with AM myself.

  13. Hey nice build so far, I was going to paint the inside of my bucket as well. It's been a little bit since you painted it, how's the smell. I figured I would wear it around the house often after completing it... but I don't want my wife to come home and find me high on fumes and passed out on the floor just in my boxers and my bucket! Anybody else know about how long until the smell wears out?

  14. Any of you guys see him in interviews recently. He seems off, and kinda... I'm not sure how to say. Not all up there. I think A recent Connan, or Jimmy Kimmel interview are the ones to look up on Youtube. People get old, but when I heard this, (I was notified by multiple people yesterday because of my known Star Wars fandom) I was surprised he was even able to fly. Maybe he was on some meds at the time of interviews, but if you watch them he just didn't seem well. Anybody else note this? It's been a while since I've watched it, but in the Jimmy Kimmel one, it seemed like he was going to make fun of Harrison Ford more, but then pulled back because Harrison Ford wasn't getting it.

I'll try to post them up when I get home, Can't at work.

  15. I'm a Deputy Sheriff. Unfortunately the most hated profession in America, it seems. I've been a cop for a bit over 17 years.

I'd much rather wear my plastic armor than my real armor though.

Hey, I just was pulled over yesterday and got a ticket by our NYS Troopers. Most people seem to make it unpleasant experiences for themselves, but we all have jobs to do and it doesn't make sense to be nasty to any officer. From my point of view, there is not hate for your profession, only admiration. Much appreciation goes to you and Dark CMF, and anyone else providing that type of service for me and my Family. Sorry, I'm done with that. Not a fan of that viewpoint.

Anyway, the company I work for does Federal and state contracting. I mostly do Medicare and California Worker's Comp stuff. Sit at a computer all day working and researching on FISD while I wait. Working here shows me that the Government really really does not spend it money wisely.
