  1. Awesome, thanks guys! I will look at all of your suggestions and do some touch-ups at upcoming armor parties. Very much obliged and thanks for being patient with me while I got everything in order. We'll see you in Centurion.
  2. Hi all, Apologies for the delay, been busy. Please find attached my new self-made D-ring for Hyperfirm E-11 :
  3. Ah, forgive me, I thought the blaster was optional. It does not have the required D-ring, but here you go :
  4. Thanks Snaps! I've put on some weight recently so the back-kidney-butt connection could definitely be adjusted. A few slightly longer straps ought to wrap that up, so I'll definitely take that advice.

  7. Hi all, I've been adding quite a few electronics to my kit lately -- it started with the basics; an AKER + iComm wired setup in my chestplate to sound like a stormtrooper, and then Echo's fan kit so I don't overheat. Then, the Environmental Audio System (EAS), which is two directional mikes just beneath the brow trim by the ears. Finding space for all of this in my bucket and chestplate has been tough, but I've managed so far. I can't recommend any of these systems enough -- AKER + iComm speak for themselves, Echo's fan kit is a breath of fresh air, and the EAS d-mic system speaks to me (puns intended). My newest problem is that I'm now trying to incorporate a two-way radio setup. I have a pair of Midland walkie-talkies with throat mic/earpiece accessories that I've tested, and they work great -- the problem I'm having now is that the radio cannot be placed inside my chestplate as it's causing interference with my AKER amp. Essentially, pushing the PTT on the walkie talkie shorts out the AKER amp, and it won't start working again until I turn it off and back on again. This has left me in a bit of a pickle. I have so far just been clipping the radio to the back of my belt, near the thermal detonator, but this is obviously not ideal as it's not film-accurate. My only other option that I can think of is to try using a reed switch to run the same microphone as input to both the AKER and the radio, but I can't say for certain that it'll actually solve the problem of interference, so I'm loathe to try it until I know for sure. Can anyone think of any alternatives that I haven't considered here? Is there a way to reduce or insulate the radio or AKER amp so that they don't interfere with one another? Is there somewhere else that I can try installing my AKER+iComm that I haven't considered? Thanks in advance, ---TK-21122
  8. Hi all, I am also interested in this system. I have the AKER amp + iComm in my chestplace, and just recently got a Midland 2-way radio with PTT throat mic. That, plus the directional mics, fans, and the AKER boom in my helmet, mean that I'm running a lot of cords between my chest and my helmet. The worst problem is that I cannot put the 2-way radio in my chestplate (as it would be right next to the AKER amp and causes interference), so I have so far resorted to attaching the radio to the back of my belt, near the thermal detonator... This is obviously not ideal I am trying to come up with a solution to consolidate all of these but I'm afraid my level of skill isn't quite high enough for this yet. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.
