How did the new mold end up coming out?

I think available for pre order. Maybe actually shipping by episode 8.I've heard from people at Wondercon that the FO Anovos kits will be coming out in the next month or two.

To be honest it's not even a build group considering the the armor is 85% ready out of the box. It's more of a support group for sharing pictures and little tips that may get redundant and pointless to have its own thread here.

This suit will most likely remain as a fan made item. I don't think disney is going to let a suit out of sights for recasting. Certainly we won't be finding any in attics or the garbage.Imagine, if Jim had the resources that anovos had. It's hard to for me to understand how anovos got the access to screen used suits and then missed the mark by a mile. It makes me have to wonder how close they got to see them or what exactly they were looking at.
So far, everyone has gotten about as close to movie accuracy as the FX stormtrooper did.
I almost wonder how fast the material degrades.

I don't understand why you want proof? Take a look yourself at screen used armor, then compare it to anovos?Prove it.
And I'll gladly suggest the court ordered settlement be that you have to burn all lower body extremity coverings in your possession ...
No proof needed. See for yourself. If what they claim is true everything should line up perfectly.

Oh wow, never seen anything like that. Is the new run going to be made from these?

It's not the place for this as I said, and it has been discussed upon before. Not only for TFA trooper, but pretty much anything they put out people find the gaps.So you're calling anovos liars? Got any proof that's not fifth hand hearsay with regards to the tfa suits that they lied? If you do the class action lawsuit for damages from every owner will be awesome.

I would take that information with a grain of salt. The company has claimed and continues to claim many false statements. The don't like being called out either. And they don't respond with anything other than trust me. They have reworded multiple times how screen derived the armor is, each time getting more vague. But that is a discussion for another thread really. It´s an amazing Kit but Anovos had (or has) more recources and they had access to the originals so they could do it way more accurate But The5thHorseman I completely understand you I am a perfectionist too and I will wait till the Anovos Kit is released ( Or maybe someone has a kit left over)

Anovos kit has issues in those places as well. The forearms on Jims kit are definitely proportionate to screen armor. I'd go as far to say Jims kits back plate has a more accurate sizing and shape. Jims thighs can be shaped properly aswell with trimming. In my opinion, Jim's kit has too much shape and dimension issues to my liking. The foreams, backplate, thighs, chest plate... Worst of all being the helmet. Overall it looks like a FOTK of course, and it's enough for many, but I personally don't like this kind of issue.
Sure it looks off compared to Anovos armor. But compare it to screen armor and you'll find its not so bad, and the few areas that are can be trimmed to shape. Compare anovos to screen armor and you'll also find things mishapen. Especially the helmet.

I really wouldn't go that far. Especially if you consider cost, availability, and importantly ease of build. Jim kit if trimmed correctly will look very close to screen armor. You're right. So far I think the ANOVOS kit is the best out there. Especially if you compare it to Jim's armor.

Couldn't resist to share this artsy picture. Got primer on and it made the details pop. Looks amazing.

Will do!I found that once the belt boxes were secured through the various layers of the belt, it stays together quite well. Check out Tony's build thread (UKSwrath) for guidance on this.
I painted a FO helmet and those areas came out bad for me. I recommend to keep on trying with the stickers!
Oh and I received my Jim armor yesterday! The box was roughed up badly but luckily the only damage was to the TD, which should be easily fixed with bondo.
That's the reason I'm trying to get the decals down. I know I'll botch the paint for sure. Ouch I work for the post office EMS packages are always beat, hopefully mine is alright

Another small update. Driving myself nuts trying to make decals for my Mitcheg1 bucket. As you can see its not working out too well. May just have to use paint.

What's shoulder drop? I'm a bit confused.

Little White bag day. Nothing to special. Do I need to glue it to the nylon? Seems redundant? I'm sure there is a reason though.

Correct Jim! The thighs have a seam on the inside middle that closes with velcro. Most of the time you'll see the thighs not lined up inside. And believe it or not the seam is sometimes covered by white gaffers tape.Actually, based on some recent pics like from the Wired magazine feature, you can see that the biceps have a seam on the inside. I believe the thighs also have a seam on the inside. If you look at Finn's pic in the visual dictionary, the thighs overlap on the inside. In one of the pics of the stormtroopers in the VD you can seam coming undone on the inside of the bicep.
