  1. In the beginning of the month I got a big brown box from TM. As I was leaving for my flight from London back home to Iceland, I did not get time look over the armor and helmet other than putting it in my bags. Then the most nerve racking flight of my life begun. When I got home, even with jet lag and work waiting for me in less than 8 hours, I could not resist to look it over. And it is beautiful I got Paul to assemble it for me and I am loving it. The next days I was waiting to get a better camera, since I don't have any, but sadly that did not work. So I put together a small home studio and took some photos on my phone to show you guys Staring with the Front and Back. -------- Then the sides ---------- Close up of the sides ---------- Some action shots -------- And finally one with out the bucked ------------ To get the full inventory: Armor: TM Helmet: TM Boots: TK Boots Neck Seal: Darman Blaster: Hasbro/Doobpe convert But the best new I got late last night. A email from the 501st welcoming me to the legion A childhood dream coming true. Now I will just have to get out there trooping Over and out, TK-22304
  2. Tried the window paint and it came out pretty good. No stain and easy to take off. I have also found a clear printing paper called Safmat. It is Self-Adhesive printing film. The clue on it is not that strong and leaves no glue on the armor when taken off. That will hopefully let me print our bullet holes, blaster burns and apply it on the armor for extra effect. I wound be able to test this until after the weekend, thanks to work and social life. Will try to put in some pic off and show you how this develops
  3. I found myself window paint today. Will try it out and keep it on (the inside of the armor) over night and see if it will stain. Finger crossed
  4. @bjsavage7 - Yes I am going to be VERY careful with this. Trying stuff on the inside of the armor is deferentially the way to go. @Rain Trooper - Window clings sounds like the way to go. Looking very good. Have to try it and see how well it stays on.
  5. Hi guys. So I just got my ANH Stunt armor from TM and I am loving it (pic soon for you guys, don't worry) But with Halloween coming up I was invited to a party with really horror theme. The host is a Star wars fan (has a 501st Darth Vader) and I want to were my new TK to show of a little bit But this being horror theme, I was wondering is there any safe way to put a little bit of "blood" on the armor and then get it of after few hours? I really don't want to scar my new precious TK permanently Does any of you tried anything like this with good results?
  6. I know how you feel. When I was weathering my blaster I had to stop myself so I would not over do it. When you get started and it is going well you just don't want to stop But I agree with haui. It is all about what you prefer. And since you are happy with it, then it is good
  7. And here it is. Keeping the theme of simple build. Painted it like the blaster. Grey primer, silver and then black. Cut out a stencil with the imperial cog before applying the black color.
  8. Happy anniversary. May today be filled with happy memories of the past and bright hopes for the future.
  9. Having the username Sith Lord must be giving you some mind trick powers . Yesterday I thought "Stand? No lets wait for now". Around 2 pm I was planing to make one out of a old pallet at work, lol. Needles to say it is build and the first coat of paint is drying
  10. Thank you guys. Very happy with the first build. It was actually your basic hasbro build that inspired me Ian, so allot of the credit goes to you
  11. And now it is resting in the trophy case It was a "blast" to build. Even thou it was a very basic build and nothing to fancy. I am really happy with it and shown myself that this isn't to hard. Specially when there is so much information here in the FISD. Now I just have to what for my armor before I get started on the other one -Tommi
  12. Paint done. On to weathering. I used this video to help me see where to start and the basic of dry bruising The weathering part did go allot better than I was expecting. I was dreading to start on it but when I did, it was so much fun I might have over done it a little bit. I just didn't want it to end lol. The completed vs the original.
  13. Then gluing the parts on. Had a small trouble with the glue I used, it got yellow and "bubble" but luckily it did hold and there was no mayor caps. Then stared to paint. I put 3 layers of spray paint. One grey primer, one silver and then black.
  14. Then the first cuts. The front nozzle and the scope. I don't have a dremmel so I used hacksaw and a box cuter. Sanded down the legal stuff. I also cleared out the cross hair. Again, no dremmel so I used a drill and then cleaned it with box cuter and sandpaper. Some more drilling.
  15. Hi all. This is my first build of anything. I was very nerves and not sure how this would turn out so I didn't post process as it happen, just in case I would get really stuck. Was fun to see what you can do when trying new things. Big thanks for all the earlier topics about changes the Hasbro. It was a big help. First is the "before" pic. The blasters arrived, I got 2 of them together since it was really the only person how would ship them to me without costing more then the blaster it self.
  16. Good point. Guess it is one of thous things you have to find out when you are trooping. I wounder if a simple Buff headgear should be enough?
  17. No prob. I am working on this my self at the moment. Good luck to you ; -)
  18. You will also need a Neck seal. And if you want to be extra fancy, external audio system is a really cool as well. Here is a good list of things and where to get them http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/20869-combined-on-going-accessories-listing/
  19. Me and my family just wrote him. Will mail him our Icelandic greetings tomorrow
  20. Haha, lucky me. There are better chance to find one in the US thou so you should not have a problem finding one for yourself
  21. Thanks allot Clint!!! Needless to say, they have been ordered
  22. At the moment it does not look like I will be buying any shipping into the country. The import laws are not stopping it since the rule is "If it doesn't shoot anything, it is not a gun", but the cost is to great for something that was thought out to be a cheap start. Thinking about taking your advice Haui and find a scratch build. The Doopydoo looks like a good start.
  23. Thanks for the tip Sly11 I don't think it is going to be a problem but you can't be to sure I guess.
  24. Hi guys. I have been searching the galactic interweb for Hasbro blaster since I want to try on the Hasbro/Doopydoo's build. The only problem is that I can't seem to find Hasbro blaster that will ship to me. I have found one on amazon, but with the shipment and customs it will be around $110 and I am wondering if it is worth it. I would like to have a blaster with light and sound, so the Hasbro looked like a good beginning. Do you guys have any better ideas or a good place that would ship worldwide for smaller price? -Tommi
