  1. Thanks guys. That picture Paul makes me feel a whole lot better. Good calls about testing with compression on and taking the helmet off with regard to the biceps. Think I've just got a bit in a muddle after the first few bits (Td & shoulder straps) didnt go exactly to plan! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  2. Much appreciated guys. Started a build thread in tandem with my ukg one. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  3. Right, here we go. Had the box for a few weeks now, Still at the trimming stage. Bells - trimming done. TD - Had an issue with one of the end caps. I heated the plastics to slide over the pipes but when cooled it split. Spoke with Paul and another one will be on route shortly. Belt trimmed Drop boxes trimmed. Need to go a bit further on the inner box is it's not flush with the outer box just yet. Trimmed the right bicep this evening. Because I'm waiting for heads up that it's ok from those that know, I've not sanded! Once deemed acceptable I'll neaten it up!! This photo is edge to edge after trimming rough edges before measuring. Not going to cut to size today but just for kicks I thought I'd put them together to measure and see how they look I was a little put off by how high the outer was to the inner -edge to edge (above photo) but once i slid one inside the other to size to my arm, it looked a bit better Pressumably, when trimmed to size, this will disappear and it should look better. This is the side that doesn't match. May need advice on this side when coming to cut and glue the shims! Other side looks good Silly question but have to ask... Is there a correct way to measure? I've got the inner bicep inside the outer at one edge but opposite at the other.
  4. It is? From the reference pics I thought they all looked like the needed a few mm either side
  5. Thanks for replying. Yeah, got quite a few "go to" build threads to look at. I've a build thread on UKG but will start one in the build threads. More input the better! New lexans stood up to the task tonight better than the others! Just realise the task in hand! Although building for UKG clearance, I'm living in Cyprus so absolutely no local TK help! (think I'll be the first out here) Jealous of the guys able to through armor parties for a bit of help!
  6. So.. TrooperMaster ANH 2mm stunt arrived and while I'm still trimming more of weight off I started on the misc parts. The first thing that went wrong was an end cap on the TD which when cooled, started to split - Ordered a new one off Paul! Shoulder straps I've took too much off the edges of the one at the top, bottom one looks better... so yet again ordered new ones to start again! I've moved onto the drop boxes. I've trimmed down and these have gone OK. The inners don't fit flush in the outer drop boxes yet. Bit more off? Finally... Those who have done 2mm builds What lexans have you used? I've gone through 2 sets so far one set bent, one set split and I've only trimmed the bells, straps, drop boxes and belt! I've 3 more sets ordered but man this plastic is tough! Anyone got any tips?
  7. Hi guys. I've searched through different threats and cannot find a definitive answer as to what size the screws and nuts should be for the ears. 6-32, M3, M4, M3.5 are all mentioned, the only thing conclusive in all i've read is that they are countersunk. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
  8. Cheers guys. The under armour heat gear looks good for the Cypriot summer but i see they have a trim near the shoulders and arm pits. Obviously need to follow rules on trims not being visible, can anyone confirm they are not seen under the armour? Def going to go with extreme racings suit for when its not hot Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  9. Hi guys. I'm in the starting stages of building a TK. My white stuff is on the way from the Master and while it's coming, I'm looking at getting all the rest of the things I need. I'm based in Cyprus so for 4 months of the year we're in high 30's - 40 degrees celsius (90-100f) I'm looking for an under suite / balaclava that is quite light for the summer times and I'll also get one for winter months as it gets surprisingly cold here. Looked through some of the threads on here and I think I'm being pointed in the direction of compression gear but would like to put it out there, especially to those who troop in warmer climates, whats the recommended best for hot days? Cheers
