  1. should there be any return edge on the bottom of the shins? Edit: OR if you could let me know where there should be return edge and shouldn't and or how much on shins or thighsl
  2. heres the chest now! do i have to worry about the back not being high enough or is it fine where it is?
  3. Well im not angry!! just trial and error really but i got some mistakes that i need to fix, The chest is WAY to high compared to the back, it digs into my neck and doesnt even match up with everything else. Also the compression stuff i have on now is not what im going to be using for trooping, just trying it on right now. Also the but plate sticks out a bit on the sides now that i have the strap connecting it to the COD plate. how do i fix this? Does anyone see anything else worth mentioning? AWESOME SELFIE TIME!
  4. thanks for that tip man, i think im going to get some lock tight and put that on there.
  5. oh man i know what you mean! you should see my laptop, i have like 12 tabs open all with different builds. ill check those out. Time to start sowing for the straps and finally finish this torso.
  6. the ending of that sentence tho! NO i have not measured the depth, i didnt know that was a problem, the few threads im following dont say anything about that. could you share the threads youre talking about?
  7. heres some awesome bathroom selfies for you guys haha. i had some compression pants on but im looking to get a new pair for the suit only. no shirt yet so i threw on a very thin shirt. Any recommendations on compression clothing for suits? i was thinking of just going with under armour. Still waiting on putting the loops to connect the whole torso. not sure what size i want to go yet, also need to glue the inner fabric shoulder straps and outer plastic shoulder straps.
  8. thats odd, my strapping kit came with the hooks attached. RS just cares to put alittle more effort into some of the packs? haha Still great company by all means. There are 6 of these in total.
  9. 4 is the very thin elastic that connects the plastic shoulder bridge to the back piece and 5 you can't see in the picture too well but it is small white pieces of elastic that have hooks on them, this is for the shins. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  10. these pictures are so awesome!! Well i dont want to wait a full 24 hours for e6000 to cure so i want to use some CA glue on this piece. it is fabric to plastic, would ZAP A GAP work? unfortunately i dont have zip kicker tho.
  11. Gonna come in handy when I start the bucket Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  12. Heres alittle bit of progress and of course!!! you know me! questions =) OHH those split rivets are something else... Now before i glue this piece on the the other side... do i want any tension on that piece or do i let the belt take care of holding it into place.. The back piece is wider than the bottom torso piece.
  13. WOW thank you for all the pictures! i guess number 2 will stay a mystery for now haha
  14. Alright heres my progress, and im quite happy ! I noticed that the little dimples RS put in the ab plate are not qual distance apart. I marked out where i thought it should be. Any thoughts before i drill? Looking into my strapping kit more. I noticed I dont know what alot of the parts are for...... if i could get some help on this it would be greatly appreciated! SORRY for all the photos haha... anyways lets get started..... Ill just list what i think they are for and you guys can correct me and we can help someone in the future! 1. The waits strap that connects to your thighs. 2. drop box attachment. 3. ? 4. elastic to hold the shoulder bridge to the back plate. 5. straps with hooks for the shins. 6. ? 7. ? 8. ? 9. ? 10. connects to the shoulder bells to keep them in place. 11. i think this long piece is for cutting up the loops and other attachment pieces for the torso. 12. connects the front and back plates together at the shoulders.
  15. Well looking up into some of trooper bays videos i found this. he says he used an inch to then loop and put on the brackets.
  16. You should let me know once you do! X) now that I think about it I'm starting to wonder how long a lot of the pieces are supposed to be! Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks, that's what I thought. How long are you planning to cut the fabric to make the loops. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  18. Unfortionatly no. But it does look like they gave me more than enough to cut and sow the loops my self. I'll take a picture of everything that came in the strapping kit when I get home. RS might have forgotten to throw them in. They did forget the drop boxes, belt rivet covers, and ab plate pieces... Also I'm not entirely sure if they throw in mesh for the teeth of the mask and the foam insert. I did not receive those either. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  19. how long should i make the loops? an inch??
  20. Alright well i started setting up all the brackets so i could put the torso together today. Lovely RS provided brackets, screws, washers, and split rivets with some extras. but not enough extra washers to cover the split rivets AND the bracket screws. should i look into getting some washers for my brackets as well? i dont see it as a huge problem. Well i made some marking center bracket on all my torso pieces. The middle piece i just aligned with the middle v on the chest. The outer pieces of the chest i measured 2 inches and made a mark. I then just transferred over to the ab plate. sorry if the markings are a little light. As for the back of the torso i did the same. except the top back piece i measured out one inch instead of two. transferred over. then for the lower but plate and back i measured 2 inches again. i darkened the lines with a drawing app on my phone! =) If im doing anything wrong or if i should fix anything please let me know.
  21. Alright i got that whole belt situation figured out and fixed!! Now i want to start putting the Torso together. Could anyone help with how far to trim the ab plate?
  22. What size rivits should I use for the belt? Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  23. Im extremely glad i didnt glue anything together today! that sounds like excellent advice! thanks so much ill try and get that done tomorrow and post my progress!
