  1. Progress is always nice!! i glued the front part of the thighs! ive been feeling a bit ill so i called it a day there. Tomorrow hopefully i feel better so I can tackle the back of the thigh and ammo boxes! would anyone like to share some good RS bucket builds? As for the shins.. would i want to fit it around my leg wearing the boot? i cant seem to get a nice fit. the picture is just an idea, im wearing the boot when i try to fit it.
  2. Thanks man I appreciate it! They fit pretty lose but if I flex it's a comfortable snug fit, as for the cover strips? All the edges are pretty rough right now haha I was too lazy to clean them up before I glued. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

  8. I have to say i was very discouraged! I really want to thank you guys for helping me out and your encouragement. Heres my progress! I got a package from the lovely people at RS today with my drop boxes, rivet covers, and ab plates. Before i put that stuff together, i was wondering... is there a way to make all this stuff removable? maybe velcro? I would really like to make this into a Sand Trooper.. so no ab plates or drop boxes.. plus a new knee plate which i have no idea where to get ha. what do you guys think of these boots? i got these ugly guys when i ordered my rubies suit.. ( i have since returned for a full refund dont worry! ) I finally Glued today!!! i glued the two forearms today and im very happy.
  9. Well i kinda butchered my helmet but its done... im not completely satisfied but hey its my first build and first time i do anything like this so im still proud of my self.. all i can say now is next build? ill get it done way better first try haha. even got a gnarly split.. patched it with CA glue from the inside. and im not sure if its just me being dumb but putting the black s piece on the bottom lining of the helmet is proving to be very difficult...
  10. WOW thats terrible!! hahaha i dont feel so bad anymore... tomorrow i think im just going to drill those bad boys in and see what happens.... being carful about where i chose to drill of course.. but if not ill just order another pair. I really want to be done with this suit by next month on the 13-16 for an event in Houston!
  11. its strange because im really not sure where i went wrong.. i cut the ears right where i saw the markings.. should i not have?
  12. I can rotate the ear back but id have to quite a bit, I would also have to put a bit of strain to get the bottom of the ear to stay down once i trim more.
  13. im not sure where to go from here, did i mess up or should i keep trimming the ear? i feel as iff i may have trimmed the cap and ear too much. Im very frustrated and upset with my self... help much appreciated.
  14. OH its ready for the ears, im not sure if im ready for the ears ha
  15. Riveted helmet, very happy with the alignment! Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  16. Is it normal to have this big a gap? I aligned everything the way I wanted drilled my hole and just put the rivet in place.. I haven't snapped it yet. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  17. First complete test fit! Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  18. Hahaha I got really scared there for a second cuz I wasn't sure what was going on! Awesome ! Thanks for your concern tho I really appreciate it Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  19. that is exactly what i did. Here this is where i had them overlapping. this is the top of the forearm. This is the bottom of the forearm.
  20. Holding the forearm where i wanted it i marked a good center line where i wouldn't mind cutting both pieces to have them meet up. then i used a straight edge and transfered the line over the the other piece, not sure if this is how you recommended to do it,
  21. my progress on the lid! im going gansta trooper with the lid tilted to the side! ... not really heres my progress, what does everyone think? will that gap at the bottom be a problem or can i get away with that when putting on the ear?
  22. im sorry im a little slow today haha, what do you mean by seams?the edge of the piece? WOAH this thread is awesome!!!! Thanks for sharing
  23. http://m.imgur.com/gallery/Vbnnu thought that was pretty cool! Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  24. As for fitting pieces on to my body so that the fit nicely and not just look like a tube, like it did before... I shaped it to my arm and i feel very good about how it fits now, i can fit my wrist through it nicely and i just feel like it sits well. Now i just have it taped right now but im wondering what is the best way to cut it so i can glue it? Do i cut directly down the middle? im not sure if this makes sense sorry. What im asking is where do you guys recommend i cut these pieces so i can finally glue them together?
  25. heres the progress. im very hesitant to trim the shoulder bells, plastic shoulder straps.. and... the BUCKET! im also not completely sure how to fit everything nicely. I am however very happy with how everything is coming out so far and happy with how fast im getting things done. Any tips or comments definitely welcome
