Actually there are some pretty detailed images although now broken which would be completely lost, it was an idea to contact those who originally posted the images to see if they could update or pass on the images so we could ourselves, hopefully this can in implemented in 2020
Yeah exactly. At the time they were well worth being pinned. But if the authors aren't willing to fix, there's no point having them there. There could be others now worthy of taking their place, or simply remove to allow more 'page 1 access' to the regular threads.
-
I think after 2 years, if people haven't fixed their threads, they are not going to now. Is it worthwhile for the webmaster, or whoever, to go through all the pinned posts and unpin them. As an example, the first 4 posts in 'ANH Build Thrreads' all have no photos available to view.

For now, I’ve now painted the hovi tips.
Looking good! Question - you mention the Hovi's are white inside, but didn't paint yours. Colours might be a bit different on computer - are the TM Hovi's 'white' enough to pass do you think?

Looks like there's 12 approved now, and 1 Sandtrooper - 13 total.

Posted some ideas on your thread on our Garrison page. Did you see that?
-
You've just read about the mods Gazmosis had to make, to make it fit his. Mine was a aluminium pipe build, so a little different.

Apex Gun parts is a popular place. Depending on where you live of course, and the legalities of importing to your location.

and cover strip sizes are not regulated per the CRL.
Exactly. Which means if they don't like the look of it, they will decline it or make you do it a different way.

Discuss your plan with your GMLs. At the end of the day it is them who will approve, not anyone here.

Yep, that's the trade off with return edges - Bigger general look better, but also less comfortable.

Looking good. I see you raised your belt up again after approval

Congrats Matt.
The belt issue has become quite a heated discussion on our Garrison's facebook page. To date, GML's and CO have elected not to comment.

Thanks Chris.
Of course, I could have just rang Casio Head Office direct.... which I did. Yes, they are an authorised Casio retailer. I also rang the company and they just said they try to give the best possible prices they can.
Seems legit.

Hi all. Looking for some help from primarily my UK family. Has anyone had any dealing with this online watch store? They also appear to have a physical address (9 Warwick Road, Kenilworth).
The prices are super cheap. Maybe too cheap. Just a little concerned that they may be Chinese knock-offs and not legit.
Any tips or feedback would be hugely appreciated

Neck Seal "may" not have horizontal ribs. Should that be "must" not? May seems to indicate optional. Or are regular TK neck seals acceptable?
Helmet - you have the point about weathering twice. Point 2 and last point
Forearm - Did you want to remove the 13 segments, due to the trimming to size issue? Same for Belt.
Back Plate - We allow overlaps for short ANH TKs. Should we allow overlaps for short Rebels TKs?
Boots - "Chelsea style acceptable". Is that normal ANH TK boots?
Weathering - Yes or No for base level, whatever. But if you make is mandatory for Base, you should change the boot weathering to base aswell. Can't have a dirty TK with clean boots.
Grey lines - No need for arguments with Eric here, I still think the grey in the lines is just heavier built up weathering, not necessarily grey paint. However, if it is made mandatory, amend all costume pieces. As it reads, grey lines are only required for the arms. Nothing, or all.
I haven't seen enough Rebels to comment on Level 2/3, but most of it is looking good.

I'm sure this build will look amazing when finished as your Stunt kit was. Curious, from an approval point of view: You mentioned going Centurion, so you are going for base approval first? Technically when you make the 'Luke' modifications will the armour become not approved anymore, as it won't fit the CRL? I guess up to your CO and GML whether they let you troop if that was the case and your ultimate plan.
Keep up the super work.

Thanks. They do look good. Its the main reason why i have to move on from my FX kit.
Shouting out for help here. So do i cut where the blue arrow is (Ab section) or do i cut the Kidney section (red arrow). Cutting in thees places i lose my return edges....Or do i go with number 3 as most of this area is covered by the belt.
The good news is i dont need shims on the sides so pretty happy about that.

I guess no clothes washing was done today?

Thanks Q. No other replies, so I just went with it. Bought the smoothest automotive cream polish and went lightly. Came up nice! Job done

I've seen a few threads, but not quite the full answer.... I've totally repainted ALL of my armour/helmet due to yellowing. The finish is pretty good, but a little dull. I've heard of a few recommendations NOT to use a clear coat, so I was just going to polish it up. I had the tiniest bit of Novus left over which worked really well, bringing up a nice shine.
Can I use regular automotive polish on NO-clear coated spray paint? As long as I use a very light polish?
