  1. So I've got a question for those with experience in mold making and vacuum forming. I'm currently working on a helmet scratch build. From paper, to resin, to Bondo. And now I'm about 50% (IMO) done as I continue the arduous task of sanding and "fine" sculpting Bondo. Here's my questions: I've seen on YouTube an armorer (the naked trooper....) pull forms using plaster as the final mold after the initial sculpt of clay. Now I've read on different forums that plaster is easy to sculpt, sand and get smooth but the durability is low. Anyone have experience plugs out of plaster and their durability? Secondly, if I do use plaster can resin or Rondo be coated over it for added strength? Lastly, would it be better to sculpt bucks out of plaster, then do a cast of that plaster and then do a pour in mold of that fine detailed cast with a highly durable medium ( similar to what AA does with aluminum, fiberglass strands, etc...)? As always any help is greatly appreciated.
  2. I love it! Very creative and unique. Imagine doing an entire suit showcasing Dia De Los Muertos! definitely excited and anticipating what other renditions you will produce. Ever thought of forming different colors of abs/hips other than white for the base? Just a thought....
  3. So I was with my wife in H&M, a trendy/hipster clothing store in the mall and across the room I saw what appeared to be some black, all smooth boots with the side elastic. I am in a WIP with building my own TK armor and so naturally I am always on the lookout for TK stuff. Well I raced over to them and from what i can tell they are about 90% screen accurate. And they are black so you would have to paint them, thus making them more screen accurate. Anyways, they cost about $35 and before I bought them I wanted to post pics here and see what all y'all thought. If they are good enough with some tweaking or is it worth it to order from tk boots. Anyways, any help/suggestions are welcome.
