Nice asymetrical helmet in the Sandtrooper ANH Style. 1:1 scale and a nice upgrade from a FX lid
I am not sure of the providence of the design but I think it is a recast of a TE or TE2. Therefore details are softer than they should be. However as a Sandtrooper this not too noticable.
Helmet Spray painted and weathered with oil paint as the original screen used helmet
All decals except tube stripes ( from trooperdecals.com )are hand painted using correct Humbrol colours. Black mesh in the mouth. Correct Hovi Mix aerators. Correct rubber details. Velcro attached dark green acetate lens
A lot of time and effort has gone into this helmet and I selling only to gather funds for a a new armour and is a bit of a reluctant sale, but needs must.
Weathering can be removed but it won't be easy.
To FISD member I am offering what I paid for it £80 + shipping. SInce purchasing it I have re-sprayed it added better decals and repainted new ones and weathered it. It's a nice helmet, but the details maybe too soft for the discerning FISD member.

Anyone interested I can remove it from Ebay.

I saw this and thought of everyone here. It's a fascinating article and wants advice on accuracy of History etc. There's a thread over at RPF

Welcome back and good luck getting your own TK. Definitely the best place to gather info.

Sounds a great idea. I Found the dented helmet CD a good reference for Sandies

TD-252 is painting his TE2 armour over at MEPD there is quite a few pages about it and a few pages here.

You might want to read it to save you the pain!!

Rest up and get well soon. As a fellow cyclist I feel your pain.

I like the 'before' and 'after'. There are certain thing a novice like me could inadvertently do. This is getting as good as your other thread.

They look good as a pair.
What colour does Gino use for the stripes?
-
Nice armour and great tutorial. THis is going to be very helpful when I come to do mine. Thanks for all the info.

Nice job! What a difference between that and the FX lid.

Three suits now that's just greedy

Nice helmet. Great paint job, almost tempted if it wasn't for UK shipping oh well..

I used a stainless steel mug holder from Woolworths cost was £3.75 about 6 Euro or $8. In Denmark it's probably worth trying Ikea or similar.

Hi Folk's
In a bid to russtle up some assistance I am offering one free screen acurate pouch to one lucky person, who can help me out!!!
As you may or may not be aware I'm in the persuit of making the most screen acurate pouch, I am able too
But I can't make my mind up on one thing & that's the length of a screen acurate pouch. Leather one's
here's a couple of reference pic's (Many thanks to the respective site's where I obtained them from, I will remove if requested)
1st on the hip
2nd on the shoulder's
So if folk's want to measure their armor? find beter screen grabs? blow the pic's up 1 to1 scale & measure?
or do what ever it takes to help me finalise the pattern, you could be a winner
Please don't post yet, as the rules of the draw need to be posted first
Just thinking. Looking at this screen grab you can measure using the arm indentations like a ruler. Not having a suit of armour yet, I can't do this, but it would be accurate. Are the arm indentations detail the same on the ESB arms ( which I think most of the fan made suits are based on ) as the ANH arms?

Hi Lewis and welcome. This is the best place for. IF you want to go sandy try MEPD ( Moss Eisley Police Dept )as well.

It's an intersting idea. I know stukkatrooper rounded edges in certain parts to give the armour depth - maybe opencell foan with a thin material they use for running shirts
