Thanks guys! The drop box, gap on right side and calf were all minor things when I suited up that my wife and I didn’t catch. I will tweak the belt, forearm and ab button plate and suit up again soon!

Hi Jonathan! Almost there, brother, I promise. One last thing I need is a clear shot of the fronts of your hand guards and we can get started on your approval. Thanks!
So sorry! I really thought I had it all. Pic has been added.

Looking good Jonathan! Good to see another NE armor build like mine.
I can't spot anything that would keep you from EI. There does seem to be a stray corner on the back of your calf armor. Trimming that down to match the right side would give a more uniformed look as well as keeping you from getting poked by it as you walked.
Yeah that’s just not aligned properly with that Velcro closure in the back.

Good job! Lvl3 must be on your mind now!
Yes it is. It would be my 2nd one and I am thinking of doing ESB too since I already have another blaster. I will never be able to catch Glenn with his 6 and counting but I can try.

I’m not a blaster specialist, but do I see a couple of things that are not super accurate. It certainly is not the only kit with a foldable stock and I would be a little concerned that it is 3-D printed and how durable it is. I do like all the moveable parts, (hengstler, trigger, selector switch, d-ring, folding stock and magazine comes out. And the icing on the cake is sound effects.
Based on my knowledge and experience, it seems to me that it would pass centurion. However, before “pulling the trigger” lets let some of the experts chime in.

That would be a pretty cool trooper to build!

No costume has actually been submitted. A member on our board asked about getting WTF parts as replacement for Anovos and I cautioned that if color didn't match close enough the applicant may need to paint to pass Basic Approval.
This began a legalistic question over whether Basic Membership could be denied based on color mismatch since it wasn't addressed in the CRL. That's really the crux of the question.
If the color match was different enough, might Basic Approval be denied on the basis of color mismatch? My understanding is that it might be if the difference was enough, even though that isn't specifically mentioned in the CRL.
My assumption is your last sentence is spot on with what should happen at the Garrison level.

Well I troop now with the NE armor and Anovos bucket so I have seen how dark Anovos is. The difference is mostly noticeable (just barely) in photos. Yeah I think Pauls answer is the best otherwise we would have to get all different combinations of armor pre-approved and that just isn’t going to happen. It would have to be looked at on an individual basis.
-
I was approved as Centurion back in 2014 with an ATA lid and NE armor. The bucket is a more milkier white than the armor, but there wasn’t a question raised about it. Now that was going on 4 years ago.
-
Slightly rounded looks good. Colors and all look great. Fantastic work! I will also echo the half/half helmet.

FWIW, you guys (Paul and staff) are doing a hell of a job. I, for one, did not like the FOTK initially. But it has grown on me and I love it and like the TLJ version even better. Though I don’t even have a FO costume and will always be OT TK at heart, I would be down for the new patches/coins and like the emphasis on the new suits.
Awesome job!

I've seen a few people talk about painting the inside white before going black to help the exterior of the helmet stay bright white. I guess the idea is that going straight black might "darken" the white of thinner helmets when viewed from the outside. Any thoughts on this?
No need to paint white first. The black doesn’t show at all.

I saw TLJ Yesterday Afternoon in 3D. It was a mix bag. It was better than TFA. I did not care for
a remake of ESB and ROTJ. A Chase, Ice planet with walkers going to destroy the base. An Apprentice
killing his master. A Mining Planet. Here are some things I did not agree with about TLJ.
1. How can bb8's dome stays on when Poe is going full force against the Dreadnought while his dome comes off
in an explosion in the Star Destroyer?
2. How can you drop bombs in Space? The Tie Bomber shot them out in ESB.
3. How could Leia survive the explosion and outer space?
4. What Jedi training did Leia receive under Luke? Is she a Jedi?
5. Why Kill off Snooke? Build him up and done,
6. How did Snooke not feel Kylo moving the Light Saber?
7. The 2 Code Breakers which one was the real breaker?
8. What happened to the one that betrayed Rose and Finn?
9. Tracking through Hyperspace? Should that have been explained at the end of Rogue One? How
did Darth Vader track The Rebel Blockade Runner to Tattoine?
10. Explaining that Rey's parents were dunks was weak for her parents background?
11. How did Phasama escape? Is her character done?
12. How could Fin survive heading into the cannon at the end?
13. bb-9E? I thought that there would be more scenes with him in it?
14. How are they going to write out Leia in IX?
15. Too many subplots.
As someone who has seen the Original Star Wars in 1977, Empire in 1980 and Jedi in 1983,
It is very disappointing to wait 34 years to see Star Wars and then to see Han, Luke and Leia not together
again and die off! I have said this before. George should have taken a page from Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings,
and filmed VII, VIII and IX at one time and did it they way he wanted it as he told Mark Hammell, In Episode IX he hands
his lightsaber to someone else. I hope that George releases VII, VIII and IX as novels so that we can see what he wanted.
I was hoping that VII, VIII, IX would have been about tying up what happened from Jedi to now. Add some characters then after IX,
Go from there.
What he said.....

I've used a flathead screwdriver to get under it and a little twist to push up ends of rivet. Certainly you can cut the straps because the inside doesn't matter anyways.
-
Definitely need to trim more off. Only should have 1/2 inch gap between your body and armor. You should also trim more off the return edges. About 1/8 inch is all that's needed.
-
I think it looks better---more in line with the tapered frowns from Ep 2-6. Now if only they would completely eliminate the "duck-bill" look by extending the sides of the faceplate to have little to no black showing just above the side vents.
-
There are many things I don't like about the RO TKs, but the helmet is not one of them. I like the sharp lines, a vocoder that looks like a separate piece, and indented tube stripes. Definitely a bucket I would want to add to collection. Couldn't care less for the rest of the suit, personally.

I do the entire way down to avoid them popping open while walking.

Yes, quite a few NE Centurions, including myself.
-
Definitely not Anovos.

Doesn't get much cleaner than that! Easy pass and on to Centurion....

Is NE still authorized for approval as a new build?

The suit is perfectly fine. Myself and many members have NE. I was just approved with my 2nd EIB award with it.
