Welcome to FISD fellow Northling (and Swede)
-
Nice read. Great work everyone!
Tip of the bucket to TK-73511 for the great dedication and for sharing his story.
-
Congratulations on the clearance and shoulder recovery Andy.
Welcome to the FISD!
-
I, too, went PVC. For me the selection came down to the sheen of it. Really like the bright white colour of it.
-
Late in here but welcome to the FISD.
Looking forward to troop with you in Nordic Garrison.

Congratulations fellow July 2014 EIB awardee!
-
Your bridges looks a lot like what I did.
I ended up looking at screen shots and centurion applications.
I'm guessing there's a bit I leeway here to fit different body types.
I'd say you have it right now.

I'm not sure how I put it but I think I have the outwards Velcro on the holster side (left) because it's easier to hold that side fixed while matching, aligning and securing with the right side. Especially if there's a blaster in the holster while doing it.
When you are all dressed up it shouldn't matter since the TD will cover the join.
I would be surprised if all the movie used ones were exactly the same.
As far as I can see your belt looks great. Good call on the outer rivets. It's a small difference from RS measurements, especially when the cover is on, but I think the placement helps keep belt-flaring away.
Next step. Be mindful about the placement of the holster-belt rivets. I'm sure you've got it covered but it's too easy to miss align if you look at the wrong examples.
Rivets go near the bottom.
There's a great diagram for this. Don't have the link right now but it's in my build thread. I also put a lot of time into the belt.
Keep up the great work!

Cheers Friends Feels very good.

Thank you Francisco and Jim!
Both for the congrats and for your inspiring work.

Jason, Jonathan and Anthony.
Thank you!
Centurion application is planned very soon considering the comments I got on this application.
I just want to savour the EIB moment for a while. And a bit of weathering on the blaster would look good.

brilliant! so nice
Cheers Danny!
And in other news. I was just awarded EIB for my armour. I'm now the newest (to date) EIB and the first of July 2014.
I haven't done any major mods of it since it was built. Originally I had a few mods in mind but the more I thought, heard, and read about EIB I thought it's probably up to standards. Seeing how any mods were being put off for the future I figured the only way to get me started is to actually charge into the breach.
So. After blood, sweat and 15+ troops I give you EIB 393

Likewise Steve!
Or should I say 392?

Thank you Steve and everyone who have chimed in with suggestions and well wishes!
This was a well needed bit of good news on this otherwise drab tuesday. Now I'll have a sense of accomplishment today too.
I'm beating myself up a bit for not putting my application up earlier as only minor mods have been made since the construction but, then again, now I feel I've earned my EIB with both blood (construction) and sweat (trooping).
Thank you all and I look forward to continued service to the Empire and the Detachment.

Maybe the Nordic Garrison could just show up at their HQ? LoL
The thought have crossed several minds in the Garrison and there's an ongoing discussion internally about what to expect and what we can do.
Seems like they've had access to a lot of goodies in making this game so let's all hope they'll stay true to the costumes and other props.
-
Oh. Right. That must be it. It's interesting how different details pop. I hardly noticed it since I know it's the drop box elastics.
-
Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys.
Not sure about this though.
Also I would color over the logo on your under armor pants with a black sharpie so it doesn't show.
I have a one piece under suit. All black. What would you be referring to here?
As for the other comments. Are these suggestions for this EIB application or for future Centurion?
Cheers!
-
Cheers Evan!
I should have done this a long time ago, but for whatever reason I wanted to make sure I hade trooped properly in it first. So. Here we are. Battle scared and naturally weathered.
-
Thanks guys!
I just realised the headline should probably read: TK-74210 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [RS]
and not what is says now (TK-74210 Requesting [ANH] EIB Status [RS]).... but, alas, I cannot change the headline of my post.
Well. This post should make it clear that it's an ANH Stunt unless that wasn't abundantly clear before.

Notes
This have been an application long in the making. Only minor modifications have been made since it was built.
With 15+ troops in the armour it's not as shiny anymore and I feel I'm tested enough to apply for EIB.
Thank you for your consideration and tips on further improvements.

I wouldn't think the bracket would be able to be mended in any way. Best option would be to either check with RS or make your own.
I remember reading an how-to but cannot seem to find it.
You might, however, find some inspiration in this thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16007-correct-wire-for-brackets/
They also link someone who sells brackets, but I don't think they are in business any more.

Hi Andreas!
Welcome to the FISD. Good that you've registered at Nordic Garrison too. There you will be able to meet local troopers and keep up to date with upcoming events.
A good way to get to know the organisation and the troopers is to join as a supporter and help out at events. It's a good way to be able to see costumes up close and ask questions to the troopers who built them personally.
Hoping to troop with you in the future!
