Was my first time working with plasticard, its a pleasure to work with, easy to cut, sand, glue etc, worked out way better than using the original piece as was much easier to fit around the battery holder and installing the on/off button in the mag release -

Thanks Jesse, the trigger would work without the spring as the micro switch itself is slightly sprung but the spring helps to relieve tension on the switch and pull the trigger back to the open position, that's the idea anyway! -

Took a few pictures earlier of the weathering, used the deac sterling for reference but slightly toned down. The paint shows up more on camera, it's actually more subtle than shown. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk -

Video files are too large to add here, will see about making a YouTube video and linking it Weathering has been completed on all three blasters Here are some of the acrylic colours I like to use for weathering blasters Raven black, burnt umber, bonfire Orange, boltgun metal and silver, they are very tight quality modelling acrylics and contain a high percentage of pigment. The writing on the m38 scope is an easy one, regular white crayon rubbed into the indentations and the excces cleared away rubbing a finger over it Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk -

ll the electronics are complete, the blaster has four controls/switches. The first is located in the magazine release button, this turns everything on The second is the trigger, this activates the super bright RGB led at the front and also sends a message to the mp3 player to activate the blaster sound. The ammo counter goes down as shots are fired until empty which activates 'out if ammo' sound file. The third trigger located under the ammo counter reloads the blaster and activates reload sound and fills up the ammo counter. Forth button located in the handle/grip retaining pin changes weapon between 3 modes, single fire, rapid fire and 'set for stun', the stun setting activates the blue led at the nozzle and corresponding sound file in the mp3 player. Also the 3 settingss will make the scope light behave differently to indicate what mode your in, led on is single fire, flashing fast is rapid fire and flashing slow is set for stun Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk -

t-track from 'Marv the Martian' fitted by cutting one end into a tapper, slowly heating the end with a heat gun and pushing it into the 11mm hole and holding it their until it goes hard again, then marking the other end with a pencil trimming and repeating. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk -

Fed all the cables from the scope, couter and switches through the body and out of the ejection port, also connected up the led and speaker cables to the micro controller and everthing from the controller also out of the ejection port, here the corresponding cables were soldered and heat shrunk to their counterparts. I uploaded the micro controller with the code to 'run' everything. All the joined cables are pushed into the body of the blaster and the bolt and spring slid back to hide them. Next was inserting the 7.4v camera battery and turning on the circuit to make sure it worked, everything worked great!, happy days Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk -

Wired the RGB Led then arranged the three led regulators into a pyramid shape, superglue them together using the capacitors as anchor points and soldered all the connecting led and control cables, also arranged the speaker into this assembly using a strip of plasticard for the wires to pass through. Immediately after the speaker I wired the micro controller (can't find pics) Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk -

Hole drilled in scope for LED, interior of scope painted with two coats of silver acrylic to help reflect the light, circles cut and fitted using part of an old laptop screen to defuse the light. Two small holes drilled next to scope foot for cables to pass through Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk -

Closeup of the charging handle, it has a machine screw driven into a pilot hole, the the pozi head is cut off, it fits a captive nut superglued into the pvc bolt Note: the box bolt has various slots cut into it to avoid cables etc Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk -

Reshaped the magazine to make it more accurate, drilled a divet in the end and glued a small plastic bead in to simulate a missing detail, engraved the 'off' sign and arrow. Glued magazine to the barrel. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk -

I am running the circuit off a 7.4v camera battery, they are ideal for this, also the chargers can be got at a reasonable price from eBay, got extra chargers as I chopped up some to use as 'carrier's' for the batteries I cut off the greeblies from the old mag wells to keep for the new ones Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk -

Hollowing out the magazine well for a battery compartment but disaster struck and it broke up[emoji21][emoji21][emoji21] Thought to myself that the mag well is not that complicated a shape so went to work on fabricating one out of plasticard, also means I don't have to do more resin carving, whatever resin doopydoos use creates an ungodly amount of dust! Cut out slots in the barrels for trigger mechanisms and wires to pass through and got grips fitted to the barrels, slowly starting to look more like 'space guns'[emoji16][emoji16] Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk -

More carving out for the trigger, fabricated a trigger from 6mm acrylic, pivots on a steel pin and tension created using a spring from a pen, engages with a micro switch (used on microwave doors), very happy with the result, the trigger makes a satisfying 'click' when it engages with the switch[emoji4][emoji16] Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
