  1. Interestingly enough, TK wasn't the only designation for OT stormtroopers either. The new canon novel, Battlefront: Twilight Company, has a stormtrooper character serving in the 97th Stormtrooper Legion on Sullust with the designation SP-475 and it later goes on to mention other stormtroopers with the SP designation within her unit. Not entirely helpful with the FN vs. TK discussion, but worth pointing out that there is the possibility that each Legion (or smaller sub-unit of trooper) were given unique letter designations. That being said, "FN" could mean a particular batch of troopers beneath Hux's command - so many possibilities!

I suspect "SP" has to do with them being stationed on Sullust. On Rebels, the TIE Pilots stationed on Lothal had the designation "LS". I'm not sure if this has been confirmed or not, but I know people have been talking about it.

  2. Assuming Finn is a good guy, the Rebel Legion should get any Finn costumes. But I highly doubt they will approve a "Stormtrooper Finn" since last I heard they will not approve "Stormtrooper Luke" or "Stormtrooper Han". From my understanding, the logic is that the person would have to resemble Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford for people to know it's not just a guy not wearing his stormtrooper helmet. You may have better luck if the bucket stays on, but he has distinct markings on the armor. But I'm not a costume judge, so I couldn't say for sure.

  3. I am in the Beta group of the ANOVOS TFAs, but haven't been able to start working on my kit until now. I finally got the nerve to start cutting, and rough cut my first piece: the front thigh. I apparently forgot to take a picture of the cut piece, so here is a pic before the cutting, with my cutting lines drawn in with pencil.

Now that I've made my first cuts, I'm feeling better about not mutilating the armor and should have more updates soon. :peace:

  4. Ever since seeing this in the trailer I wanted it but apparently my wife has claimed that right.

Her exact words were "I'll support you and your trooping, because I love you, though I'm for the rebels however, now I know that this chrome beauty is being worn by a woman, I'm going to the dark side in one of these and NO YOU'RE NOT getting one or wearing mine".

    So brutal

When I got my husband to join the 501st, I told him that I would have first dibs on any costume. :laugh1:

It will be cool that it's a fully setup costume that is a soldier, and not a "female" soldier.

I agree! I am so stoked that this is a female character, and I hope a good (and relatively inexpensive) kit comes out because this is on my list of costumes now!

  6. Thank you all for your input. I hadn't seen any evidence of the inaccuracies, only people mentioning that the inaccuracies existed. The armor in the movies is made differently, and as you said, cost a hell of a lot more. I expect there to be some differences due to the way the ANOVOS kit was made and the materials used. I was just curious if any other details that would matter were different.

  7. I know I read somewhere that this armor has some places where it's not accurate to the screen used armor. Unfortunately, I can't remember where I read that, and I haven't been able to find any specific information. Can someone point me in the direction to find that information?
