  1. Thanks guys, the patterns are upgraded now to the Anaheim boots, time to cut and sew leather, by the way, this model use more leather than other boots that I use to make but the final price will be the same of my other specialized boots, I am sure the final boots will be ready to sell next week, as always I want to give 100% accuracy in my designs.

I am not trying to be an an impolite person here, but there have been issues with boot deliveries from you in the past, people who have waited well over a year to get something, if anything at all. Is all that cleared up and are you sure to be able to keep up with that?

I'm just asking because I know Anovos will soon be selling the boots as well, which will be coming from the same factory as the ones in the movies were made from..

In the midtime between boots and under parts I am tempted to make the gloves, in full soft leather,  if you know if there is a source for them, then will not to be necessary my gloves design, I downloaded this from FB (sorry dont remember the guy that take it):

There's quite a few sources on gloves, they range from 10-15 bucks...Just need to remove some white leather from some fingers is all :)

  2. Na I think they will keep the higher price point. But yea I would be mad if I bought sonething for almost 2k them watch them sell it for $400. But if the bucket alone is 200 the rest should be more. (And you got the higher teir bucket)

They said the fiberglass bucket would be in the 700-800 price range, which fits in which what I heard at the Anovos stand when I picked my helmet up. They said 740 USD when I was there. So let's say they go with the 800 USD, then still, if they sell the kit at 400, that would amount to 1200 USD.. We paid 1800 and were told at first it was 'at cost', and later heard they were losing money on it. All this while there were no boots, blaster or under suit available.

This all does make me wonder about a lot of things to be honest. I can't wait to see finalized prices, but when building this thing, we were thinking a kit would be around 2500 USD or higher for a kit if they wanted to make money on it (if the info we were given was ok).

  3. I think he may be quoting fully pre-built prices in that video, because in this other live interview he gives a seemingly very different range of numbers.   :)

Go to the 6:55:00 mark of this video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brNTpnUR61g

he says the words "$400 kit" at one point followed by "...to a $2500 premium version".

He was joking when he said 'most comfortable suit' he has been in, right? Coz I don't believe I have been in a more uncomfortable one lol

Also... if the cost will indeed be 400 for a kit, there will be 75 extremely angry people out there...

  4. Have not seen this thread- nice! Is it just me, or does the search not really work very well?

I'm not that impressed by the search either, but I always figured it's a board issue. Either way, it may help to simply use Google, and add "site:whitearmor.net" to your search query, that way it will display all the search results of this forum (as long as it is a public forum, of course.. it wont work for a search in the 501st-only part)

  5. What now?

Don't make me take away your admin privileges on FISD.

My wife made me make reservations a few days ago at Medieval Times at that discounted 501st rate, it's at 8:15 the same night :S

Sure, it'll be fun for her and my daughter... and ok, I may like it, but dangit... I wanted to do this too :/

and lol on the admin rights xD

Hehe, I know, but I didn't see the pictures on your page just yet, that's why I said I hope you guys do it soon. I don't want to post them before you did, or I may take away the novelty ;)

Edit: Sorry, I should have looked better. I did see the pictures of you guys dressing up, but never looked if there were pictures other than those

    Thanks so much :D:duim:

  7. Now my Detachment Affiliation status change into : First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment (Retired)

    What? I'm not retired.

I never edit or update after pending status.

After Pending, why it change into Retired ?

    Wibowo,

I just took the liberty to check on the logs in the memberDB, and it seems that your CO has indeed changed the status of your detachment affiliation:

January 29, 2015 Arief Sundjaja Profile Update - Detachment :: First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment -> Retired

January 28, 2015 Sapto Wibowo Profile Update - Detachment :: First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment -> Pending

So, yes, like mentioned by others, please ask him the reason why.

On a different note, Mathias, who is ideally in charge of the detachment affiliation status? Is that his GCO or can the FISD DL/XO overrule that? His record still shows his costume as active, and he is active on the forums... this is a bit why I am wondering, it seems like a silly mistake..

    Your 501st Approved Costumes:
Primary Costume: Stormtrooper: ANH Stunt Costumes that you have: Stormtrooper: ANH Stunt (Please submit photos to your GWL) Retired Costumes:   Pending Costumes:
    Your Unit Affiliation:
Garrison/Outpost Affiliation: Indonesia Outpost Squad Affiliation: None Detachment Affiliation(s): First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment (Retired)

  8. its happening again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :sSW_deathstar:

I'it happened', coz you weren't able to post during the time ;)

Anyways, yeah, it did indeed occur again. I was online at the time and it was quite a scary thing to see this time around (it was different from normal as databases were accessible, but shown as completely empty). It happened on most (if not all) of the other detachments hosted in this server as well. It gave me quite the scare, because it kind of looked like a hack had occurred (in addition to the empty database, logs were gone, I was unable to find an online backup etc etc) even more when I noticed one site (not FISD, no worries lol) had been lacking making backups for a while.

Anyways, we're back online, Eric was informed as soon as it happened.
