hi guys. how may of you lot use a chin strap in your stormtrooper helmet? why i ask is my left arm is disabled and i can only bend it half way up. i can't even reach to fasten a top button on a shirt never mind a chin strap that is parsley hidden inside a helmet. what options do i have.? is a chin strap fastened with a popper are Velcro. in fact is there only room in the helmet for one hand any ways to fasten a strap? all opinions would be much appreciated. thanks in advance guys..........

here is a video i done a couple of days ago to show the punch i action. the tip end of the rivet legs if that's what there called, kind of curls over and grabs tight to the bottom of the washer that is put over them. the points have a good grip to the washer and don't stick out. i suppose you could whack it with the hammer after wise if preferred to make it a bit flatter. the split rivet used in the video is a steal type which is much harder to fold over than a brass one is. so the punch is a good tool to get the ends of those legs to start to spread apart. i think the way the rivet grabs would be ideal for the likes of when working with leather do you think? BJ these rivets were in a tub that i got of my farther about 20 years ago. when he had it in his shed i can remember rummaging throw it as a young lad and seeing them and wondering what they were for. hears the video any was. see what you lot make of it. --------------

which is better to use on the Armour.? (1) use webbing only or elastic only. or do you use both? (2) were to use and were not to use. thanks in advance guys.......

hi guys. i was looking at the split rivets that i have last night and was rattling my brain thinking there must be a simple way of folding them over. so i went in to the shed this morning, stud for a few minutes thinking then came up with this simple idea.... a peace of strong round metal bar. a hand grinder to start the cut lines off. and a round file to Finnish off the cut groves to shape.

thanks Charles....... looking through the tub i have.... 17 of the 11x8 21 of the 9x8 and there is 7 that i didn't notice before of 7mm high x 8mm wide.

hi guys. i was hunting through some tubs in the shed last night and came across these in a tin mix in with all other bits and bobs. i picked out all the split rivets that i could find and the other bits above that you can see in the picture. anyways i was wondering if any of these would be any good for use on say the stormtrooper Armour? thanks in advance guys..........

hi guys i have some money coming my way. £590 to be precise. my question is, i am hoping to buy a set of ANH armour. what type of armour can i expect to buy for the money mentioned. i have been looking through lots of posts lately on different armour types, material used etc. but the more i read the more i get confused. any advice would be well appreciated guys.
