  1. I appreciate the helpful tips everyone, thanks. I wanted to clarify, I chose my words poorly. I said trooping, I didn't mean actual trooping at an event. I meant just wearing the kit, (for example at a Halloween party). If I were doing a proper event I would of course hold myself to different standards. I don't think the passive aggressive remarks are really warranted, especially as I'd like to qualify that I don't actually represent the Swiss garrison. I'm totally new, just got my suit. If I make a faux pas, it's neither accurate nor fair to use that to judge the Swiss garrison. Again, if I were taking part in a formal troop I would definitely hold myself to a different standard of conduct than just going out with my friends. Mea culpa on the poor choice of wording for the title and OP. I've since edited it to more accurately reflect what I was trying to say.
  2. Yeah, I mean just for wearing the suit informally like at a party. I would imagine for a proper troop I'd have my stuff locked up and stay in character the whole time.
  3. Hi all, My RS suit is arriving today! My first time wearing it will be this weekend then I'll hopefully be able able to join the Swiss garrison. I had a question though for people wearing their armor for Halloween/other parties or other informal occasions. What do you do with your wallet/phone when out in your suit? Not trooping formally, just at parties or with friends.
  4. Cool, thanks for the info all. They looked pretty cool, (especially in the videos showing the flash-on-clash and obsidian soundboard), but I wanted to be sure. Their official forums are full of praise for them but I figured there was an element of bias there
  5. Hey all, I had a quick question about TK lightsabers/lightsabers in general. While browsing I found the following website: http://www.ultrasabers.com/ It looks alright, the quality of their sabers looks pretty good and the prices are fairly reasonable too. The amount of customization you can have in your saber is pretty impressive. What I was wondering is, does anyone have any experience with their products? Build quality, customer service, etc? Thanks!
  6. I actually got a very quick response (within a few days) when I requested price + shipping info from the Doopydoos website to Switzerland. I ordered one and it arrived yesterday, I'm very happy with it. I was in regular contact with Casey throughout the whole process so I'm quite satisfied. There's only one minor niggle, a little bit of the paint has chipped off the tip of the barrel. I can just paint over it again so that's not a problem, but I was wondering whether people usually put on a coat of something on their blasters to keep them in good condition and minimize paint chipping. Any tips?
