  1. Thanks! Marcus is going to kickstart this project for me Jenny!
  2. I'd looked at the trooperbay rubber guards, and they would work for my TK, but I'm also doing a TX for the wife, which is even smaller (and black of course) so I need a solution there too. I've been reading up on pandatrooper's builds quite a bit, but had not seen this video. I'm thinking this method with the iron may be the best thing to do for me. I was already planning on adjusting the chest plate on both the AM's. Thanks!
  3. The ANH hand plates in the AM kit are kind of large, even for my mitts. Do most of you trim them down and lose the return edges?
  4. After all the trouble I'm having with my ATA ears, I'm loving how yours look. Nice job!
  5. Thank you for all the feedback and links on this subject. I'm on information overload on FISD sometimes, so it's hard to find exactly what you're after. I'm uncomfortable enough as it is as a Tusken. I don't want to trade soaking in sweat with armor bite if I don't have to. Tonight, I had a few beers and riveted up the bucket. I hope that the brow is correct. I had a really hard time getting this adjustment where I wanted it on the left and right sides.
  6. Starting a WIP thread for my black and white build. White for me and black for the missus. We are using ATA buckets with AM armor. - So on the AM, is the general concensus to remove all the return edges? Are there any that I'm required to keep?
  7. Hey Keith! I might see you at GenCon! Thx for the compliment.
  8. I've seen several other Hasbro mod threads where little to no weathering was done. What is considered proper for ANH stunt (i.e. shiny)? It's painted silver underneath so I can either lightly sand or dry brush it with silver.
  9. I just finished my Doopy mod. Based on the great ideas I've seen on this board, I did the following extra things... - replaced scope rail with aluminum piece - drilled 8 holes on lower left of barrel where 7th vent cover was - added wires on counter to cylinders - dremeled out gun sight - dremeled and shaped trigger as best I could - replaced LED with high current drive transistor and hi-intensity LED from a Cadillac tail lamp project that I was involved with several years ago. - Lastly, I added a bolt, bolt slot and spring. I sort of looks like the full Doopy kit version with this. I had not seen this on a Hasbro yet. It was surprisingly easy to do, and I'm very happy with the results.
  10. Thanks for the input everyone! Charles, that is exactly what I had in mind on the rail. I appreciate you posting those pics! I'll get a WIP going.
  11. I'm just starting my Doopy Doo mod to the Hasbro E11. I'm inspired by the work shown here: http://www.whitearmo...opic=12522&st=0 I want to replicate the trigger, site, and 7 hole mod that Jorran did. On top of that, I'd like to do a few things to make this a little more like the Doopy Doo scratch kit. I'd like to fully remove the rail behind the scope and replace it with flat aluminum stock so that it connects with the rear gear piece as shown. I'd also like to replicate the bolt by cutting a groove as shown, adding a fake spring and bolt (yellow). I've not seen a Hasbro with this mod, so I'm wondering if this would still meet EIB status. I'm making look less like a Hasbro, and more like the Doopy kit, but I want to make sure the concept is acceptable. Modified pictures showing what I have in mind are below
