I wanted to let you know that after a lot of trial and error I found out how to make this work. I never got the aluminum bar to work (even with heat). I did however find some Zinc Plate at home depot, also about $5, that works great. All I had to do was score it with a dremmel and it bent to a 90 very easy. So stress line or breaking.

I have the same bar, however when I try to bend it, it just breaks. Did yours bend with out breaking?
