  1. Welcome to the boards Jeff. I live in Gilbert too. If you need any help or want to see some armor up close let me know. We can help you build your armor from basic 501st approval, but with very little effort you can build an EIB/Cent level suit if you plan for it from the start.

We have quite a few troopers in the Gilbert / East Side and have armor parties once a month.

Make sure you create an account and start posting over on the duneseagarrison.com forums and get to know the people you will be trooping with.

    Regards,

    Isaac

  2. Hi Trent. Head over to duneseagarrison.com and sign up for our forums and we can get ya moving in the right direction. We have quite a few events coming up and can have you come hang out for a few and meet the crew and see the different armor kits available close up. The main focus for a TK is getting a kit that fits you and having someone help with getting the trimming right so the armor matches your body type.

Some armors are made for larger troopers and some for the standard 5'9 160lb folks. We want to make sure you get the one that will look and function best for you.

Looking forward to helping you along the way.

  3. Paul will be able to give you better feedback.

Just an observation, but you may want to move the rivets on your thigh ammo belt out and up to the corners. I only suggest that because I had to do that on mine. I filled  the holes with caulk afterwards and you cant see them unless I point them out to people.

The sniper plate looks like its a little low as well.

Like I said, just an observation by a friend.

You did a great job fitting the suit to your body though. It fits your shape really well. The blaster is a work of art.

I'm sure the more experienced people will give some better feedback. Good luck brother! I was really anxious when I submitted for EIB so I understand the constant checking for updates and reading the comments. Congrats on making the extra effort on your build and I look forward to seeing your approval shortly!

  4. Mathias, thank you for your hard work, and for keeping the forums secure and smooth. Nobody knows all of the work you do behind the scenes keeping us up and running. I appreciate you patching and updating things around here. I've never seen spam comments on FISD. That's all you bro.

Phil, looking forward to reading your application comments and learning more and more about the white armor we all love.

  5. NE is different than his AM set. It's a little confusing, I know. I thought the NE kit was put together like his AM was and was completely wrong. Best thing to do is take a ton of pictures and we can help you get it built up. There are ridiculously skilled builders on FISD and can offer suggestions on getting just about any kit built up looking great and fitting you the right way.

    Good luck,

    Isaac

  6. welcome bro,

It's all very overwhelming at first. When I started, everything looked like a stormtrooper to me. After awhile and with some research you'll get the feel for it. The idea is to get a suit that will fit YOU and YOUR body the best.

I'm 6'0 and 230lbs. I played football and wrestled all my life so I never thought I would fit in the white armor suits I love so much. WIth the help of the people here, I was able to work around issues and build a kit that fit me and even get my Expert Infantry award for it.

Ask questions and research. We will help you if you ask for it.

We say "troopers helping troopers" and we mean it.

    good luck man

  7. RT-Mod makes a bigger helmet. I wear an ATA and have worn an RT-Mod as well. With padding they feel the about the same to me. My best suggestion is to talk to folks in your local Garrison and ask if they are doing an armor party anytime soon and ask to try on a few different helmets while you are there and see what you think. Both of them need some help getting them on but inside they feel about the same with respect to room inside the lid.

An RT-Mod with the screen accurate foam and chin straps should fit you though. I can measure the inside of my helmets and give you an idea of how mine compare unless someone beats me to it.

    Good luck man,

    Isaac
