Copy that Mathias. I just took it the wrong way. I sometimes get a little overly-defensive when it comes to this sort of thing. No worries.
I am too, Tyler. I don't think Mathias meant anything by it. I think he meant that the moment itself was raising of the flag and in the real-life footage it's quite mundane, but with the right circumstances it became so much more. And till this day means so much to so many people.
I had family members live through the Japanese war and occupation in Singapore in WWII, not a fun time to say the least.
The group of us are already planning our next WWII tribute TK style. Hopefully it will live up to this one.

Thanks! I appreciate it and will wear it with pride. This is cool because I think I'm the first Canadian Garrison member to get Centurion I think.... I will spread the knowledge I've learnt so that others can learn from my mistakes and hopefully lots more Canadian EIB/Cents will follow.
I will also concede that it does look a hell of a lot better.
-
Thanks Tyler I share your sentiment. To me a Non-American but Singaporean, it's a symbol of liberation.
We literally risked our kits trying to get that shot - had to climb some rocks that I probably would be nervous doing on a regular basis, but with my fellow TK brothers helping each other out we all managed the shot - safely.

Another picture - I have to say that breeze was really nice!
-
I can fit all my stuff in a medium sized luggage. Just got to play chinese dolls (is that right?) with your thigh, shins, forearms. That saves a lot of space.

Here you go Mathias, photos of the modifications I made.
Thighs
Forearms

Thighs getting glued. Nothing to do now but to wait.
-
It was and still is a great image and at least for those that have lineage involved in the pacific side of WWII is still a symbol of freedom. No matter how mundane the actual raising of the flag was (...or both of them for those that have spent time reading up on history).

I agree - Centurion should not be "easy". It defeats the purpose and the challenge. Love it actually!
-
Excellent
Do you want me to retake (front/side/rear) photos or photos of finished modifications good enough?
By the way biceps are pretty tight on me. Can't get it smaller imho. What can I say I have big tricep muscles.

Update pictures - E-11 fixed!
Forearms gluing as we speak.
-
No problem Mathias, I am literally gluing the forearms and thighs as we speak.
-
I know Mathias, I want to give you a benefit of a doubt. That's why I said I don't think you intended it.
I will work on my forearms and limbs today but shins are a tough one Mathias because it's really the best way to get them on for trooping. What do you suggest with the shins?
-
If you think so, then I will. So just want to be clear that the parts I need to glue are forearms, thighs and shins? (Everything else is glued.)
Checklist is then,
1. Reverse cocking handle
2. Reverse off-set
3. Glue thighs, forearms and shins
Anything else?
By the way doing this because it's a challenge to me, not to "get brass". I actually take a little personal insult Mathias if you consider my application to be Kindergarden I think it's a little uncalled for, especially since other TK's have had been approved with velcro attachments. I thought we had a good relationship, there's no need to call names. I would have appreciated a simple, "Yes I'd like you to glue your limbs down and you'll be approved."
Maybe you didn't intend to come across as mean but it reads like it.
-
Okay let's see fix list:
1. Reverse cocking handle
2. Reverse off-set
... let's see what Mathias has to say about overlap/velcro.
-
LOL, I was so careful with the muzzle flash guard. Ha! I can't believe I glued it on backwards. Those are easy fixes.
-
To be honest I rather not remove the velcro because it makes trooping and stuff way easier. (If anyone's done the 5 min quick change - ask Chookaboom about it, the velcro is key!)
-
I'll spend more time reviewing this later in the weekend, as I have other plans than to sit by my computer. I would say though that the overlap/velcro assembly on your arms and legs doesn't look good at all. I think you'd look at least twice as good by having them permanently closed. The rest of the suit looks pretty good though.
Cool thanks. That's a simple thing to remove the velcro and E6000 it down - was done for sizing purposes and trooping. Now that I've trooped a few times I know my size much better. Is it going to keep me from Centurion though at this time?

Hi everyone, thanks for checking out my application for Centurion. I tried my best and I hope that I meet all the requirements. I hope I get this because I think I may be the first TK in the Canadian Garrison to attempt for Centurion (someone else want to check?). Would be very proud to join the ranks.

I'd go for 45 with sanded down edges, cause lord knows there's enough things already to get your undersuit caught on. You definitely don't need more.
-
There's a top without the mock neck. I suggest you get the EVAPOR without the mock neck because it's going to interfere with your neck-seal.
And yes, I love my evapor... it feels so nice....

Thanks Mogwai. I off to bed so will follow your advice on the ammo belt tomorrow and adjust accordingly. I hope there's good news tomorrow. Thanks again.
Excellent looks so much better! Good job.

No problem David, I have all the time in the world for the veterans. You guys give so much - much more and braver than I could ever be.
