I am trying to get my wife to dress up, but she wants a character that does not have a helmet, mask or wig. The closest I got, was to get her to dress as Princess Leia for Halloween with the white dress, hair buns and a blaster. So she wants me to research that line of costumes. Not many Empire characters withour a helmet.

My first troop was in April 2012 and I have done about 9 or 10 so far.

Interaction with people when they hear me talk with the amplifier and ICOM. Also, the children get excited when they get a trading card.

I will be there and will be dressed as my TK on Sat at the Shoot A Trooper table. I have been to Comic Con before, but it will be the first time in a costume.

Congrats!

I built a ROTJ version, but I am still learning about the variations of Stormtroopers. In the movie ROTJ was there a large variety of configurations? At the end when the rebels take out the star destroyer, it crashes into the death star. The next cut scene shows Stormtroopers running down a hallway. The first guy has a holster, but it is on the left and not the right. The second one has the AB buttons in the non ROTJ format.
Just curious.

Thanks for all the advice.

That is another way to raise money for charity. I can have another sign that says "For Advertising in this space. Please contact.....".

I quickly looked at the drop boxes this morning, but mine looked kind of narrow. I am going to look at them in more detail later tonight.
Good point on the feeling around with the gloves. I did not think about that.
Thanks,
Gerrit

I enjoy the looks I get when I hand out my trading cards to the kids. When my wife is squiring she usually takes care of holding the cards for me. Some events she cannot make it and I do not what to overwhelm the other squires taking pictures and helping out other people. I was thinking of getting a small clip on pouch in white or black that I can put on my belt. However, I have not been able to find any online during my lunch break. Does anyone have any leads on one? Later tonight I will look some more and will be putting on the up half of my TK to see if I can hide something behind the armor that is in place I can easily reach for.
Thanks,
Gerrit

With the summer now here I am noticing a lot of mositure build up on the inside of the armor. I already use the Novus polish for the outside of the armor. For cleaning the inside can you use clorox wipes, lysol, fabreeze, filterd water or any other product to clean the inside of the armor with out damaging it?
Thanks,
Gerrit

I took my time and it took me about 3 months to get everything the way I wanted it.

I wear RT-MOD armor, I am 5'11" 215 LBS and I work out a lot. I love the armor and Rob was great to work with it. Plus the helmet came assembeled and ready to wear. All I added was fans to the inside.

You guys look awesome. The picture in front of the Cathedral would make a great poster.

I bought the RT-MOD armor and here are my dimensions
Calves - 17 - No cutting and has a little wiggle room when fully velcroed
Thighs - 24 1\2 - I had to cut 1\2 to an inch off to get a better fit
Biceps - 15
Forearms - 13 - No cutting and I use velcro to close them
Here is what RT-MOD originally sent me when I inquired, but this is from Oct 2011 so he may have changed things.
Suit comes with fully assembled helmet - ready to wear.
-Made from .090 ABS
-All plastic components are cut, trimmed and ready for assembly.
-The suit will fit an individual up to 6"3", 220lbs depending on weight distribution.
-Key measurements are as follows: (....shims would be required beyond these.)
-Calves - 17"
-Thighs - 26"
-Waist - 40"
-Forearm - 13.5"
-Bicep - 16"
-Helmet – 24â€
-Remaining components are not size critical

Unless they can make the armor pieces bigger you may have to shim them. I am going to have to do more deadlifts and squats if I am ever to catch up with your thighs

They do not touch from what I can feel and see. Here is a photo of the side of my suit. I have to change out the side strap to make it snug. When I put on the belt it flares the top part of the kidney plate out a little.

Yes. I will post some photos tomorrow night when I get home.

I had the same issue. I took the wire off the mic and mounted it with velcro inside the helmet. I added a coupler between the mic wire and the wire that runs to my system, that is attached to the inside of the chest armor, so it is easier to detach when I want to take my helmet off.

Yes, ROTJ suit. Thanks for the info.

Welcome. I am from Orange County NY not to far from you. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. Also, make sure you stop by the Empire City Garrison website http://501ecg.com/ and introduce yourself. I spent about three weeks on the FISD website researching Stormtroopers before I finally purchased one to build. It is a very good resource.
