  1. This stuff still availble? Didn't see HDPblues when I searched his ID??? Type: TE2 Country: USA Contact: HDPblues on FISD Kit: HIPS, untrimmed, ANH derived Availability: Very limited. Only produces set numbers in runs. Assembly: Armor needs to be trimmed, parts butt joined with finishing strips, then painted. Comments: Helmet is considered the most screen accurate available, though some don't like the bumpy cap and back.
  2. So why is he on the recommened list then? Type: Armor Master (AM) - Country: USA Contact: troopergear@gmail.com and tupperwaretk@yahoo.com are the two reliable, lowest cost, and best vendors of this armor. Both lite (helmetless) and full kits are available. Kit: ABS, trimmed, fan sculpt. More accurate than FX and the armor is Expert Infantry ready out of the box. Availability: No known problems though there may be a waiting list. Assembly: Parts are trimmed and designed to be easy to put together - along with RT is the easiest kit to make. Comments: Armor is good accuracy though the chest and back tend to be larger and sharply defined. Very durable. Helmet is a bit larger than scree-derived, and the face is the least accurate acceptable (though the dome is fine).
  3. Oh so you don't recommend troop gear. Good to know. For some reason I thought I got them off the recommended list. Thanks!
  4. I'm thinking of buying some black armor from trooper gear and painting it white due to availibility. Any draw backs I should be concerned with?
  5. Ok here's a thought maybe been brought up before but since I'm new I will throw it out there... If you had a budget of $1000 start to finish. Could a good setup be made?
  6. been chatting with propmaster, any thoughts or expereince with them? I believe thier listed in the recomended list.
  7. So how many people are using castfromoriginal? looks really nice. So is the whole thing here basically based on what you shooting for as a final product? TK quality -> EIB -> Centurion Basically the more you’re willing to spend the closer to screen accurate or pedigree per say you get...
  8. There isnt anything about the helmet i have a issue with, just know people buy them seperately for some reason so I was trying to understand why or if there is a better maybe already made one I should consider... only asking for educational purposes before purchasing. How much work is a eFx lid to get up to standard? Thanks!
  9. I have been wanting to build a storm trooper armor for years.... did Halo last year and just sold my armor so I am ready to embark my childhood dream... so looking at armor, I have emailed a couple of your suggested suppliers and awaiting responses and armor quotes. I am 6' 175lbs. Question... as far as the T/MC supplier goes, seems fairly afordable. http://traynichols.com/501st/4sale/stormtrooper.html Do most buy the lid seperate? I see you you can order it with the full kit, but would I be more satisfied buying a different lid, if so what do people recoment? Whats EIB mean? This is unpainted armor, do I have to paint it, or just shine the hell out of it? Thanks for your guidence and can't wait to join the force!
