The helmet has the plastic film around it but the rest of the armor doesn't. Does that mean anything?

Hey everyone, I am trying to figure out what kind of armor I currently own. Its an ATA armor set that I purchased in Nov of 2011. Unfortunately the person who I purchased it from has not gotten back to me. Does anyone know how I can decipher what type of armor it is? ABS or HIPS? Thanks, Paul

Thanks for all the help and encouragement everyone, here are the pics of the armor I got earlier this week. I am little worried that the back plate wont fit me, due to the trimming before I got it. Going to start on the helmet first anyway so I can worry about that when the time comes. Also the holster is an ESB variant so I will have to modify that if possible.

Got my ATA kit in the mail yesterday, and I am SOOO excited. Haven't had a chance to really take a look at everything, but I will post some pics up this weekend and continue to do so from here on out until its complete. Want to thank Jack for the kit, and good luck to him on his deployment. I think I am going to start on the helmet first, because I can do that in a smaller space, which is all I have available. 501st here I come

I was actually looking into a, more screen accurate version. I don't have the largest head, and a fellow trooper said that the FX/AM kind of stand out in the group if the rest of the troopers have more screen accurate versions. Was actually looking into TE2 or ATA. Any preferences?

Hey Joe where did you get the kits? And is that AM lid about the same size of a FX one?
