    haha awesome! Im not nor have ever been in the service, but this young man is on the top of the Paladin. My Son Sgt Tyler Jennings.

     

    I just heard one of those firing for the first time today... Made quite a boom and its not really that close to me :)

    Some "briliant guy" had decided, that we should spend 17.000$ on wood and a door in camp price, just 3 month before we moved to Bastion, So I had to bring the wood a long, to make something usefull ;)

    But man... I missed my first tour.... That was a lot better, out  near the Green Zone :D

    Yeah... I spent 3 days making that pavillion, including stairs ;)

    And YES!!! I was proud... Mostly because a certain somehing, took me a whole 4 weeks of dedication to collect and assemble(Thanks Zoo)... sorry Admins....(I understand if you remove it. No hard feelings ;) )

    But the wood works, was pure boredom that became 3 days of entertaainement :D

    So come on... Some one please find me in Iraq!!! I know I am going to be bored an make something like this again!!! Or something else, just as stupid!!!

    I know there are a lot of service men and women in this forum, but what I really want to know is, are there anyone stationed right now??

    I'm leaving for OIR AAAB tomorrow and would love to meet some 501st brothers down there (over there for you US guys).

    I know most of you are not allowed to say where you are, but it would be cool to know and PM me if you cant give your location in public forums (Yes, FISD is considered Public).

    Anyway. Would be cool :)
    With 300 USMC+assets, there have to be someone there :)

    And setback... Me and paint are NOT good friends...

    Had to paint the back plate, TD and due to stupidity, the belt. Well I screwed up the paint, by giving the second layer too soon, so have spent a lot of time getting the paint off... This is not the first time I have done this and I really should have learned my lesson by now...but I guess I'm a slow learner :P

     That was fine with me, but I wanted a "nice" job this time, something that didn't crawl around the woods so much. They offered me five different jobs: Stinger Operator (which meant I'd be crawling in the woods); Bradley Fighting Vehicle Crewman (which meant I would drive out to the woods, where I could then crawl around a lot);

    Haha, nice to know the Army is the same all around the world :D

    I'm a Lance Corporal in the danish army with two tours in Afghanistan, one in Kosovo and one in the Somali basin. Currently preparing to go to Iraq one of theese days in a support role for the USMC already deployed there.

    I have sort of a "tradition" where I buy a new armor after each deployment, since thats the only time I really have the money for it. I always joke about that my hobby is Government funded, because of this ;)

    You can get used to carry anything really Have used the MG3(modern day MG42) on several maneuvers, and its heavyer than the MG34.
    But weight aside, I think your main concern should be if it can be cleared by local law enforcement.

    In Denmark I cant even get a demilled sterling, because of strict gun laws, so I'm forced to use a MR e-11...

    If your local laws allow you to own a demilled MG34, I cant see the problem in getting it cleared for cons. I see many people using airsoft guns at cons with no trouble and they look very real as well.
