Yep, looks good. Trim slow. You can always dremmel more away. Can't add. good luck.

Ok, here you go.... if you look at the inside of the return edge of any of the sections, there will be a definative smooth area, then a "line". On the other side of this "line" will be a less smooth area, kind of rough. The less smooth area has to go, leaving the smooth area. Once you look at and trim one or two you will see it quite easily. You can trim close with a hobby or utility knife then dremmel more closer. Hope this helps.

Looks like it was a good troop...

Thanks to Eric for helping me out (and by that I mean doing it for me) on the signature box! Looks great doesn't it?
-
Get them from Jesse ^ that's where I got mine. And they're great!

Hey thanks for all the replies guys. I actually got a PM right away after posting this and had someone offer to help with Photoshopping one. There are certainly an abundance of folks willing to help out with just about anything on these forums. Hope I can return at helpfulness someday. Thanks all...

Welcome and good luck. Trooping rocks.

Hey! I too troop in ATA armor. Plastic is no big deal, it all just glues together and if you mess something up you can just pull it apart. The tutorials here will get you anywhere you need to go. The trimming was the only part I found to be tricky, but I got through it. A good place to start is the "Getting started, read this first" entry. Good luck.

It does. I will have to check it out... Thanks.

Where does everyone get those cool signature picture boxes with their TK names and the other stuff in the background that appear at the bottom of posts and replies? Are they made individually with Photoshop or something? If so I am out of luck being Photoshop and Flash illiterate.

What I've found so far is:
1. Buy a helmet kit to assemble and detail.
2. Make your own armor. (hardest part)
3. find white shoes that match and get UnderArmor (black sport tights) and look for decent gloves
4. make your own blaster (not from a toy)
I did find a UK company that looks like it sells cool kits for a blaster.. look like all you need to add is a pipe and a scope. Id be interested to hear if this is a good way to go.
Don't forget: canvas belt, clips and PVC pipe for the thermal detonator, holster specific to TK you are building, neck seal, padding for helmet and armor, helmet fan (optional), decals for ab buttons and helmet...
Did I forget anything guys???
And I agree-Hyperfirm.

Don't forget, you also have the seams taped so there is no give when you move. Once you add some elastic it will stay closed but move slightly when you do and be more comfortable.

5-11, 170. In an ATA set up right now. And it fits pretty good...
-
Only thing holding me up is I used pop rivets vs. screws on the ears. Still have three, do I have to pull and replace for EIB or will three painted rivets work???

Already got you in your ESB approval thread, Dave. Check your title
Whoops... Disregard then!

Thanks all! It does feel good to have it all done and finalized.

And that was the guy I heard if from...

I got my ESB TK approval email late last night. TK-9241 is now legit and ready for some trooping. Thanks to the FISD tutorials and everyone who helped on the forums.

Good to know. Exact same issue here. I have heard the freezer works since the glue and plastic expand at different rates. But have yet to try it.

Ok, unanimous so far. No caulk it is...

Makes sense. I am just kind of a neat freak and was thinking about doing it. But I do like the original look too.

Mine nearly got me (not a real) divorce. I don't know how many "I'm just going down to the basement for twenty minutes, I have one quick thing to do", turned into the wife yelling at me from the top of the stairs four hours later.."I though you said twenty minutes!"
