i used E6000 on mine. works great, and i'm pretty sure you could remove the glue if you want to replace the trim...
-
nice!
will you offer these without the alu clips? i already have your clips, so... just waiting to mount them on your screen-accurate TDs. heh

I as of this writing do not have armor, that's why i'm here. like most i had seen episode IV: A New Hope when it originally came out and have been a fanboy since! i would love the chance to march in parades and events with other troops, to make hospital visits, to bring smiles to people everywhere and perhaps inspire others to join up and appreciate everything Star Wars (and the dark side!).
i'm finally getting some of my back pay from the Veteran's Administration (disabled combat vet) and want to use most to bring family to Disney before the boys get too old and while daughter can appreciate it (of course during a Star Wars Weekend!). i'll have some put aside to purchase/build/whatever to have my own armor; i would like to do it without spending tons but having a good, reliable set and be able to join the 501st also. i'll check the forums often, this post and if allowed share information where i can be reached off here too. thank you all very much for welcoming me to this galaxy far, far away!

Accuracy aside, keep in mind that these are made specifically to allow the performers to do things that would be hard to pull off in normal TK gear.
like Danny Choo?

i guess Disney-troopers wouldn't pass EIB, huh?
i wonder if anyone tried to sneak into Disneyland saying, "i'm with the band, er, with the Academy, yeah..." lol

difficult to tell, but are the vocoder in semi-gloss? and the ab button blue color? seems black in that pic...
you look really good!

wow, first ANH Hero Centurion! congratulations!

Sorry to say, but doesn't that apply to your Hasbro blaster as well?
IMHO carrying toy blaster conversions is just as much of a mistake as having a bad holster or Elvis boots.
Absolutely! That's just my point:
Pre-FISD - Costly, wastefuly mistakes
Post-FISD - Knowledged decision making w/ "0" mistakes and regret
As they say, "knowledge is power." (e.g., after getting feedback here on FISD, peeps should have second thoughts ordering a Cushman DLT-19)

thanks so much for the mention here!
and darman's holster is miles above the one shown!
mine are in kit form, and finished versions.
NO, thank YOU for providing quality/accurate products!

Keep in mind that while this sounds like a good idea / funny, commercial places of business dont like people walking into their stores with their faces covered. its a security issue even for some official troops and most garrisons request permission first.
Remember when there were those masked Vader robberies last year? People dont forget those. Also remember that what you do in costume especially a TK represents the 501st legion whether its an official troop or not and your actions reflect those of a group.
Just my feedback.
i don't think most in general public even know aboot the 501st, imo. if non-fans see some strange behavior by a Stormtrooper or Darth Vader, their perception (either negative or positive) wouldn't have any effect on LFL, let alone the 501st. why would anyone bridge that gap? their only thoughts would be either, "what a douchbag, or HOLY FARG, a Stormtrooper."

for you noobs oot there looking for "quick fix" ways to finish your TK build, make sure you don't "cheap" oot with the accessories either. don't make the same naive mistakes i've made over the months. use FISD as a great reference source to scour out EXACT items you want, and don't waste money as i did. just pay that little extra and know that, at the end, you will have more quality, and as importantly, ACCURATE item.
here's a comparison between an evilBay purchsed holster and one from a quality fan made item! what a difference, eh?! i know not ALL TK related items from eAy are bad, but do yourself a favor and study and compare here first.
here are at least two quality makers:
