The battery is listed as the TL-2450 and should be available at stores like Batteries Plus. Mine finally died but I ended up ordering it from Jim. Everything I've gotten from him shipped the same day...awesome dude!
Cool. Thanks for the info!

Sorry, guys, I know we had a thread regarding different battery options for the iComm, but can't find it...!
And we have this great HOW TO thread by MartinSivertsen: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/tutorials/article/40-howto-changing-battery-in-icomm-to-a-rechargeable-one-edited-with-new-content/
And of course, I could order a direct replacement from Jim, but is there something I could pickup today from a typical store to use??
Please help.

Were you able to finish this mod? Pics??

WOW, really awesome!

Welcome.
Yay, I live in Mos Eisley, too!!
-
Heh, that's really coo!
Oh! Tamiya putty...
-
It could be the iComm battery. Mine is about 22 months old minimum and before replacing the battery in the iComm, it would constantly click even with the slightest input from the mic.
How old is yours?
Which battery did you use??
Mine doesn't turn on...

Cool! Thanks for the info.
Are you still using the PTT with this?

I suppose you may have to contact the management at the theatre you will be attending...
And yeah, it is unfortunate that we have to more cognizant of those things nowadays... :\

Do these TK Boots fit true to size? If I wear a shoe size of 13, should I go a size up or order 13s?
Fitting inserts in these would be ideal.
I wear 10s, and seems to be true to size, and have room for inserts...

I originally cut mine the way you have & it passed. Of course that was a while ago.
You can see many troopers on-screen that have hacked-up thighs for running scenes or whatever, so it's accurate.
When I built my sandy, I really wanted to keep the details on the rear of the thighs, so I cut about an inch all the way around the top of the thighs. I was careful to measure all the way around so they'd keep that smooth, pointy shape at the top. With some careful shimming, they came out good & I have great movement.
thanks!
yeah, i shoulda been EIB a long time ago... sheesh. i'm confident that i won't have these "wookie" issues building my next armor.

Used google translator english->german for flange but it did not help
What I did was I cut everything of the curvature away, but no mm more. So the strips end were they are supposed to end.
No armor bites
lol, sorry, "flange" was probably not the best description of what i meant to say... doh haha.
yes, what you said was perfect. danke!
-
thanks Minuteman!
can't really tell from the pic, but did you cut more than the "flange" portion and the strips?
-
If you need to cut more than that to be comfortable then I think you're looking for a solution in the wrong area. It'd be better to work on the overall length of the parts than to cut big gashes from the back.
only other option is to buy new set of (some other make's) L/R thighs...
-
no one has an opinion on this...?
is there a possibility that i would be refused EIB if i do cut too much??
