  2. Biceps are done ! Here, picture before and after the cut : storm84 by fab TK3376, sur Flickr storm84b by fab TK3376, sur Flickr
  3. At this time, we are both validated TK, and Beamishgunn is just validated as EIB ! So, my turn now ! After the last troop, i see many things to fix or change on mine. First change will be on the arms ! they doesn't fit me correctly : they are to big (or am i to thin...) So, i cut off a little part and reglue to the cover strip the other like this : - first i cut in the biceps - i removed from the cover trips the little excess I will glued them again together tonight... storm85 by fab TK3376, sur Flickr
  4. Really ? Damn 1 was already trimmed when i received the armor and the other... well, i cut it until the edge ! Maybe i can just add a little piece of ABS behind to have this 5mm edge ! Thanks for the advice !
  5. thanks ! Here are some comparative pics for our 2 stormtroopers armors in 2 different sizes and morphologies :
  6. Yeahh it's official, i'm approved now ! So, our both armors are approved ! Beamishgunn have already start his EIB topic. For me, i need to fix some details and i will do the same !
  7. Hi, enable me as stormtrooper please ! https://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=3550&costumeID=124 Thanks
  8. We're all set... but, something is missing .... YES, of course ! My approval !! Our both armors are almost finished ! Completed for approval but with some details to finish for levels 2 and 3. Beamishgunn is validated now as TK, and i will send mine today or tomorrow. We're already working for our EIB requirements !
  9. almost done, just missing the correct screws ! JustJoseph63 ? i need you !
  10. here some close up pictures of the shin finished with my "moved" method !
  11. almost done ! Here a comparative picture of the shin with sniper knee plate. The smaller one need to be completly rebuilded ! I made it some years ago without butt joint method and the sniper plate was attached with visible rivets... but that will be difficult because i glued it with cement glue...
  12. for a better move, i cut off a little part of the back thigh behind the knee. I tried to keep the same angle of opening in the thigh than the shin : a little sanding and it's done !
  13. and now it's much better : I can glue it (center first)
  14. for the sniper knee plate, i had a problem... See pictures below, if you glue the both parts of the shin together correctly, and put the sniper knee in place, well... you can see that it will not be straight, not aligned with the shin's edges ! so, i undo what i did ! (just one side of the shin) thanks E6000 ! strong and, in the same time, not very difficult to remove ! so, i glue them together slightly moved, just enough to have the sniper knee almost aligned ! the lower shin will be cut off to be aligned with the other side on the front. For the back, hopefully, after a try on my leg, the alignment did it on his own and seems to be "normal" !
  15. the lower leg with the front cover strip and her with the back cover strip
  16. a comparative pictures of the thighs 1 in a thin size with 2cm cover strips on front and back and 1 in a larger size with 2cm cover strips on front and almost 5cm on back : Here, i need to remove the excess part to have the good shape :
  17. First, i cut off the cover strips and the excess ABS of the thigh to fit correctly : I had a snap inside the thighs and heat a little the back : And finally glue with E6000 the back cover strip :
  18. One of our 2 kits is ready now ! The bigger one was for Beamishgunn and is validated !!!!!!! So happy for him. It was a real challenge to be ready for the last jedi premiere. I just don't had the time to post all the progress on his armor until now ! So, i will try to do this in the next days. AND, of course, finish my armor now ! because i was concentrate on his kit, i didn't finish mine.
  19. I already said that i worked on two AP kits in 2 different sizes ! For me, the most difficult part is the legs. They must be adjusted very well, and stay comfy, to move freely. For my sandtrooper armor, i can go upstairs, bend or even sit down. So, my thighs will be thin, and the others, well... bigger ! and some adjustments will be made. Here is the first thigh, mine, with 2cm stripes on front and back. you can see the back, i've cut off almost 5 cm to fit to my leg !
  20. The funny part... or not ! Add the speaker system (from Ukswrath !), fans, inside padding, lens...
  21. 2 helmets are painted and have stickers on it !
