  1. Cheers for the comments. The edges look rougher than they are due to the protective film, but I'll give em a good sanding, don't wanna be cutting myself on my first troop
  2. Having rushed in and ebought armor a few months ago, the limitations of the quality are again giving me problems. I'd like an opinion on these shoulder straps, is it worth continuing the build or are they too sub standard?
  3. Well I was hoping to finish constructing before posting the front photo, but the armor parts I rushed into ebuying require a little more persuasion into co-operating than I hoped (Thankfully I got my helmet from a real Master of Troop armor). The weather prevents spraying of the boots (have to be done outside under an open shed so just to windy) I'm planning on using humbrol acrylic gloss white spray.
  4. Thanks for the advice, I thought they were the right way round but I saw one pic with them the other way, so thought I'd better check. Hopefully get them finished soon, gotta get a heat sock for my iron Friday, had problems finding rivets, looks like ebay. If the weather holds I'll spray the boots too this weekend. Then its just neckseal, speakers and holster.
  5. Hi can anyone help me confirm which shin is which? I think the first picture is the left one. this being the right?
  6. Man that is nice. Mine has been ordered, its the kick I needed to start building the armor I have had for a while (Sept!). It was off ebay and from what I can tell looks fine, just needs alot of work; I just hope its good enough to pass and won't look to shabby compared to the helmet, just shows it pays not to rush in (which I did), at least I waited to source the helmet.
  7. Quick tip, if you have any old hard drives lying around, they have stupidly strong magnets inside, plus once they are apart you can make really sure any sensitive data can not be retrieved from the platters.
