  1. Man that stuff looks crazy flexible. There is no way i could do that with my ATA kit. Does the flexibility make it more comfortable to troop in?
  2. Maybe add some foam padding? I'm pretty skinny so i'm sure i'm going to have to add some padding into mine. I picked up a 2'x2' square of padding at the hobby store for around $10. Should do the trick.
  3. Thanks Tim! I was pretty hesitant at first but i think i have the hang of it now. Yeah there are tons of E-11 build threads and a few different ways to do it. Had to work late today and tomorrow i have to go to a wedding so no really progress. I'll be back on it on Sunday though. Hope everyone has a good weekend!
  4. I think my shoulder bells are good what do you guys think? Got to glue a few pieces onto my blaster. Ill be doing a lot more cutting and sanding tomorrow on the body pieces...
  5. I looked locally and couldn't find any here in Texas. Ended up buying mine online at amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000YF92PA/ref=oss_product Ended up buying two sets of these. They are very strong and even come with a WARNING LABEL! I got mine rather quickly in the mail so if you ordered them now they should hold you up to much on the build.
  6. I bought these at Wal-Mart. They seem a little thicker than the sale signs i looked at so i went with these... I haven't used them yet but they seem like they should work fine. Good luck on the build!
  7. Quick Update: Starting rough cutting on the curved pieces. Didn't like using the curved scissors so i've been using some tin snips and they are making it really easy! All i should have to do is a minimal amount of sanding on everything. Well, you guys know the drill. Give me some feedback! Here are some picks of my hasbro ive sanded and cut up. Probably start gluing the doppydoos on tomorrow.
  8. Coming along nicely. Hopefully i have time tomorrow to start trimming mine.
  9. Woohoo! Got my ATA kit in today. I'll start trimming tomorrow. Here are some pics! Wish me luck! *ATA

  18. Lots of good information! Thanks for all the input. I'm setting a goal of 3 weeks once my armor arrives. I think thats pretty reallistic. I'll be working on it every afternoon and i have a place to work inside at night if need be. Other than the Thanksgiving holiday coming up i should be able to work on it everyday. I have everything on hand except for the actual armor so i should have any hold ups once it gets here. Thanks again for all the info you guys are always a big help!
  19. Quick question.. What is the average build time for a TK once all materials are on hand? I have an ATA kit coming in a few weeks and i like to have a goal to set. I would like to have it complete by mid December. i've plotted everything out on my calendar and the only thing that is really going to take awhile is the curing time for the Rustoleum Professional High Performance Enamel. Just wanting everyones thought on the matter.
