  1. Faie, is that really an SDS Battle Spec? If so, AA has done some tinkering since he made mine. Yours looks a lot better.
  2. I just received my new RS Props ABS stunt helmet, purchased from a member on this board, today, so I thought I'd do a little photo sharing with you. I've owned the SDS Battle Spec helmet and armor since before LFL took 'em to court and stopped them shipping to the US. It's been about five years that I've had the armor and it was time to upgrade the helmet to the top of the line ANH helmet available today. Here's the RS on the SDS armor (disregard the shoulder strap which came loose today): Battle Spec in the background: Side view (disregard the green frog potty in the background): Chin to chin with the wildly innacurate SDS battle spec: The other side of the SDS compared with the RS: And now, just for fun, the RS up next to my old Don Post Classic Action: And finally, next to my 1983 Don Post helmet given to me on my 13th birthday. I've come a long way, baby!:
  3. I also prefer the clean look of the non-Hengstler E11 seen throughout ANH. Heck, even Luke's is the non greebly version IIRC. Seems like it should be either way to achieve EIB.
  4. Without opening up a can of worms about AA, etc., I was wondering how people have modded their SDS armor to make it look better and get near EIB or Centurion status. I bought this armor back in 2005 before all the brouhaha, and before I was even aware of the better (and cheaper) armor available. I'd love to get some RS armor, but it's out of my budget right now. Do y'all have any tips on modding my existing SDS armor or Battle Spec helmet?
  5. I have a set of SDS armor and the Battle Spec helmet. Bought it years ago before the LFL lawsuit went down. Paid a lot less back then than what he charges today. It's good, solid armor, but I don't know what he's putting out these days. Plus, you can't get it in the States anymore, legally. The best part about it was that it was ready to wear, no trimming, and a strapping system already in place.
