they look great.

welcome mr. grim
-
yeah! hahahaha
I measure 1.80 mts tall and have strong formed legs and a broad back so that helps a lot with the overall look of the armor on my frame...the problem is the tummy!
Too many "Gallo Pintos", "Empanadas de carne" and fried eggs in the morning I guess... have to start spinning or something!
Dargas.
how tall are you? sounds liek you have the makings of vader
-
It fits you well better then my suiit fits me LOL i need to gain a few pounds <_<

The FX is an Ideailzed fan scuplt, Not to say fan scuplts are bad we have seen troopermasters work and it is amazing the FX is just off on those flim detials. To me it seems like it is missing somthing
---------
All the detials are missing from the FX suit. hope i'm not insulting anyone. ]
The chest plate
the abe plate has the bottons made into the suit so you would have to buy a kit to go sandy
theres no real shape to the legs IMO
But for what it is worth it's still a great suit, not everyone is movie sized.
and to people on the street they have no clue theres a differences in the armor

Where all here to help as best we can. here is a link to the glue Btw

I would send a message to RBJ, he has been buying helmets right and left, and would be able to hook u up. Then agian if you have been talking to Chazz, then you need no other information clearences.
Hope this helps.
Bah with talk like that a guy might get an ego in here lol

i doubt it, Check around the froums i dont know much about FX armor and what needs to be done to it to fit a smaller person.
-
lol no its the set that u sent 2 me lol remember the one u said where hes selling it complete for 400 but the only prob is hes 2 5"8
i just wanted 2 know if it was adjustable
if not then we gotta keep looking lol
What was the info he gave you on the suit if its trimmed down then theres not much we can do.

Hey vash good to see the armor worked out for you now. has the armor been trimmed? or cut down do you have any pictures?
And welcome.

Current consensus is that there was no rhyme nor reason on Lucas' part for the sandtroopers - there was a bucket of pauldrons and they were put on for what looked best cinematographically. Missing pauldrons were probably not a worry as they were in the background. Lack of packs on some was due to stunts (e.g. tumbling after being shot), or like the lack of pauldrons due to budget/background issues.
There is not a single shot of a stormtrooper (with wedge knee plate, drop boxes, etc.) in eps 4, 5, or 6 with any item from the the sandtrooper panoply. And, since this detachment focuses solely on canon stormtroopers, this is why we don't endorse such extras.
<breathe>
That said, it's your costume in the end and you're free to do with it as you will at non-canon events.
I thought i read some where lucas was looking over the sandtroopers and asked "is there anyway we can show rank" so they used the pauldrons... they found a shop or somthing i cant remember where i read it. i think it's in that new Star wars book?

I have used the lycra/spandex gloves, but as I am upgrading my "look" (thanks to all the great stuff being discussed here in the FISD!), I let Chazz talk me into getting some rubber gloves, but I have not trooped in them yet. I also have some nomex gloves on order too, since I am not sure how rubber gloves will feel when it is 90 degrees in the summer...
they will feel clammy LMAO!

Daetrin said:Just because others do doesn't make it right. The bottom line: if you have a pauldron you are not a canon TK. You are an expanded universe TX.
that sums it up, but if you get that armor dirty you can have a pauldron.... but no chest mag pouch it;s a give and take kind of thing lol
It all depends on how accurate you want to be. and what makes you happy really
I'm an accuracy guy myself.
-
if you weather your armor and carry an DLT-19 you can get away with a pauldron lol but the 501st has many memebers in clean tk's wearing pauldrons.
-
Thanks for that helpful info, the guys at MEPD have suggested the same thing.
i'm one of them

Its no big deal...I have finished my 2.5' wide belt and am going to get some velcro for it...does any one know were the tutorial is for putting a hook on the back of the thermal detonator?
there is one on this site i just dont remember where it is
-
It was an example, it's been a while since i have done a TK belt or TD shoulder straps. I think the size of my belt isnt bad at all. i might even do an all leather belt.
I wish i had some HD ROTJ trooper pictures to post to help 8280's get a better idea of the look he is aiming for.
-
Then you should have room for it in your TD backpack.
thats a good idea
-
my phone is old school it's as big as a shoe box LMAO
-
the best way to go about it is Cuting just enough to fold over 2 or 3 times the belt has a good look to it, and that is also strong. then measur your belt, lets say an accurate size ANH belt is 4 inch's wide for example, then make sure your canvas belt dosent go over 4 inchs ya get me
-
Chemical gloves here =) i have had no problem with them at all infact i injoy them.... But then again i am one of the odd guys that dont sweat...
-
wey man ya cheeky bugga
lmao
-
you can use a face shield as well cut it down and heat it up a little bit then bend it just enough to fit your helmet your all set
-
looks like an AP kit to me.
